Hasn't Topix always been on Fridays? I think the Thursday day used to be Wednesday...but I thought Friday was always a staple day for Topix (I could be wrong).

I don't get the need to put a sports game on Friday. It would work better on Saturday. Cross-Checked (a Saturday game) used to be a default game until they made it selectable. They could easily throw the football game in that timeslot instead (especially since people are in bars watching college football on Saturdays) and leave Topix on Friday.

Sounds like another "it's not broke, so let's fix it" move by buzztime to me :roll:

Topix on Saturday night would be an idiotic move without question. If it happens, it's just another case of those in charge not having clue one about their player base.

Nope, it's to be a 44 question, HOUR-LONG game. The women in our tiny group are already skeptical. According to the announcement, very nearly half the potential points will have NO CLUES; I fear the wives won't be happy sitting on the sidelines, being mere button pushers. Mitch, I know how much you loved that crap, but if you'll remember, the rest of "your crew" was miserable for 30 minutes a week that month (a couple of players decided they'd rather go in the other room and spend those thirty minutes and twenty bucks playing Deal Or No Deal, leaving the tickets hanging out of the machine for some greedy little kid to snatch up and cash in on some heavy metal-laced Chinese trinkets)!

And The Season will last a lot longer; this is all I need from my wife who I so love, more bitching about another awful trivia game. :cry:

I like the sounds of the game but not the night and not at the expense of alienating other players. No more Speed Freaks on Friday either?

Friday has been buzztime's most played night for quite some time (eclipsing Tuesday night long ago). It'll be interesting to see if it now loses its crown by the end of December (or November or October :lol:

The TriHard topix fell on my birthday month and thought I had people gonna help us.

Oh yeah, those ringers never did show. I do remember that "Mitchwolf" was a possible answer in one of those Twihards, that was a little birthday present from MaryC. Your reaction was priceless.

Well, I'll like it, anyway. I only get to play two nights now, and Saturday's one of 'em, and I kinda like Topix.

Well at least the first serious Topix of Sept was OK. Bit of a "very easy or very hard and not much in between" deal but that's fine. I was surprised and pleased that they restrained themselves from pop culture at least 14/15 of the time (yet they manage to avoid NON pop culture 15/15 every Fri Topix I've seen somehow so there's some room still). Bit surprised nothing on the civil rights stuff too, but no preference there personally. For a topic that could easily have been an extra Friday game that wasn't bad at all. Well done BT.

I fear my knowledge of Nobel winners is too sparse and my interest too sketchy to bother with next week's, but we'll see.

I wanted to play Topix last night, but when I went down to Adams Mill, the street was blocked by a police cruiser. So I drove to Boston's which was mobbed, but with none of the Mill Rats in site. I wasn't there five minutes but decided to go. And I would have, except that my car battery suddenly died!! It felt like I was in the Twilight Zone.

About the only way that last night was anything like 1968 was that I spent a half hour speakin to a tow truck dispatcher who spoke just like Ernestine. On the several times I was put on hold, I wouldn't be surprised if she counted, "one ringy dingy..."
