Was "The Christmas Shoes" mentioned? Lifetime movie starring Rob Lowe, was a final question in SL a few years back around this time.

Schlock!
I don't think I appreciate the implication that such fine cinematic fare as Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy or Human Trafficking doesn't stand on its own as piercing character study.
Doesn't everyone wear lipstick when engaging in human trafficking?

No, but The Christmas Candle, featuring Susan Boyle, was, giving everyone who managed to stay for Spotlight a free pass on the final question.

Classic Sitcoms tonight. There is no way to mess that up.....right?
Classic means 70s & 80s right? Maybe 1 from the 90s?

Hardtimes will be top 3 east....unless they go 2005 to present.

I'm going to give this game a go. I should think it would be mostly 50s to 70s, but who knows? I can accept a question on Friends or Seinfeld, but the rest of the material better be shows older than that. Alas, I'm sure they'll sneak in something to do with a rebooted show, or "In 2013, Somebody of the Such-and-such show made a guest appearance on:"

I'll not be playing, but I'll bet right now that "Friends" is the earliest 'classic' sitcom in the game.

Well, hell. IIRC there was a question from the 50s (The Honeymooners). Image

Yes there was. Felt it was a decent mix but definitely on the easy side. Inexplicably missed the MASH question and had no clue on the Hot in Cleveland (based on Frasier) question...other than that, we nailed the rest of them.

Heh, it will be way more than a lil interesting to find out how many other 15s there were. Image

<--wondering how many in the west FSPLIT were crying "FLILJL!" after the rankings showed... Image

14 perfects shown on Eastern Network plus there were 2 or 3 perfect bars so there will be a lot of perfects. The MASH question is the one pissing me off...

A lot easier game when you've seen all the shows during their initial run.....

What was the MASH question?

It came down to either Radar or Klinger and we started on Radar. But he was in the movie so we should have gone with Klinger.

The most recent question I recall was on 3rd Rock from the Sun. That show ran from mid 90s to 2001. Got just enough boxes on that one to get a perfect bar score. The rest were fairly easy.

Right Poman, glad we could pull off that precall. I should have done the same for Trendalicious for our 2nd perfecto of the night.

Thanks for the free shooters y'all. 8-)

That was definitely the most recent unless you want to count the damned Hot in Cleveland question which was based on Frasier (which Hot for Cleveland star played Frasier's Daphne Moon?)

The other options were Hot Lips (a la Radar), Potter and Hunnicutt, both of whom joined a few seasons in. The key, obviously, was to sift through all that before the points started ticking down.

And shockingly, there were no Friends questions!

This belongs in the "Incorrect Questions" thread. Klinger first appeared in the FIRST season. Unless they asked about becoming a regular character (or having his name appear regularly in the credits). Maybe that was season 5. But introduced, certainly not.

Well O great wise one with Seminole breath, it was episode 5, not season 5. :o

The others all appeared in the movie and episode 1.

If Wikipedia is to be believed, it was season 1 episode 4!

Guilty!

I forgot about Friday Topix airing before Spotlight, and showed up to Rembrandt's only in time to witness your perfecto in the rankings. Hells Bells, maybe your mind isn't as fragile and decrepit as you've been letting on all these years ;)

Nuts, it was far more that Topix being in my lil wheelhouse of my increasingly decrepit, fragile lil mind. Image
