That reminds me of the local PBS show in St Louis called "The Letter People"

That game will have classic repeat questions about "Welcome Back Kotter" (Sweathogs), "The Bob Newhart Show" (Emily's Occupation), and "Room 222" (Karen Valentine)

Well, perhaps NTN Buzztime could have scheduled "Biker Boys" for today, if only because this weekend is the annual Laughlin River Run, one of the largest, if not the largest, biker gatherings in The USA. :o

I was browsing the website and found that they've added an extra game:

Quote:
May 27 Bonus Topix (10pm ET) - World Series of Poker

Not my cup of coffee or tea but I am certain that others may find this game of interest.

I've never seen a legit WSP question before although I believe that some have appeared during SIX. Maybe I've just been lucky/unlucky

I've seen two pokers questions that I can recall: One asked what the river card was. I've seen a dead man's hand question several times as well.

I have seen Daniel Negreanu as a joke distractor answer a couple of times..once he was a choice as prime minister of Canada

I think I may have seen one or two "Which hand is higher" questions.

I'm sure they'll go for newer stuff like Glee just to keep the younger generation happy

May try to get out for the Mexico one and bring my brother BOSTON the travel agent. Won't be enough resort questions, though. :)

Hoping for some good questions tonight. All 3 CSIs should be in there.
Maybe some Bones.

Quincy would fit but way too old for BT.

There might be a question on NCIS as well. They have some forensics in that show too

had all of the above. Decent game. Struggled through a few questions but made it through. Had about a 12K score.

Played the Down on Mexico game and saw the first flight of questions of the WSOP game.

It turns out the amount I don't know about Mexico is astounding. I got most of the questions about the people for nearly full points (other than the identify the 20th century writer question) but I messed up most of the Geography questions (such as The state of Tamaulipas is located in which part of the country?) and whiffed the only food question completely

If someone asked me before the game, I would have predicted the reverse: thinking I would nail the geography and food questions and miss the "people" questions.

I thought the Mexico game was fair and well balanced.

As for the World Series of Poker questions..they were roughly what I expected - along the lines of "Which casino in Vegas was the first to promote poker?", "What is the nickname of Walter Pearson? ("Puggy" apparently) and so on.

If I was a student of the history of the game I might have enjoyed it.

The "Down in Mexico" Topix was tough. I did get most of the geography questions, including the one about Tamaulipas and the state (other than Puebla) where Pico de Orizaba is located. Some of the other questions hung me though, such as the writer near Mexico City; the city that meant "long reed place" (Acapulco); and that final question, the state with seven moles (Oaxaca). I had absolutely no clue on that last one.

Still, it was a very enjoyable game.

As for the WSOP Topix, with the exception of the first question, I found it a very forgettable experience. I would have preferred playing Speed Freaks.

Mexico was great mix of geography, and history etc., made for a great game, not just all geography. We did quite well on it. I also agree that the poker topix was rough. I have watched some of the WSOP over the past few years, but definitely didn't follow it closely enough to get any of those questions. :(
