The Pennsylvania game on the 2nd had no Pennsylvania bars in the top 20, how bad is that? Back in the day on these State Topix games there was always local bars doing well even ones they weren’t often seen in rankings. Nothing this time. I think Walsh’s won, Stained Glass Silver Spring MD was 6th. Time Out was top 5.

Movie Couples tonight. Not that great, might not play.

Movie Couples actually wasn’t bad last night. Good questions. Plenty of old stuff and only one 2023 Q. One funny one was something like “Katz’s deli was used in a scene for what movie?”

2 bars with 14k scores. I could have sworn I saw Walsh’s over Torrey Pines last night but now the HOF has Torrey Pines winning by a few. Did I have too many Blue Hawaiians and Buds last night? Did Walsh’s win last night but drop to 2nd this morning after a non registered score was dropped? Merkin?

Yeah I was thinking that was probably the case. Walsh’s wins so many Topix games I just expected and presumed it happened. But no, total choke in 2nd.

Tonight I expect US Presidents to be all yours, gapping Wingz or whoever by a 1000.

Super Bowl commercials was fun. Buzztime did pick the good ones.

We had trouble on 2 of them. 1st was "Who was in the Google Phone ad?" Couldn't remember that one. All possible answers looked good. 2nd one was "All these except were in the Workday Rockers ad". 2 possible answers, didn't remember seeing Gary Clark or Pat Benatar.

Torrey Pines had a perfect 15k bar score. Walsh's had a 14847. Primetime 3rd with 14778. Stained Glass Pub Silver Spring was 4th with a 13242 though showed 5th after the game. Aubrees in Ypsilanti MI dropped down because of non registered players. As did Emerson Biggins in Doodah KS and Jimmy's in MN. Who plays with so many non registered guest handle boxes?

Ski Week on Thur, whatever that is? Ski resorts and Winter Olympic history?
TV Music on Fri. That sounds good but it doesn't say TV Theme songs so could be anything in a show. Miami Vice for 2 questions?

It shows just how site-poor Pennsylvania has gotten. You type in any city in PA on the site-finder, and at least one (and usually more) of the 6 closest sites will be out of state. Often it's more like 4-6.

You have to go all the way down to the 20th largest city by population in PA before you land in a "big" city with a buzztime site - and that's only because said site has carried the game since the 1990s.

alas no more getaway or 100s of other places in pennsylvania and across the country.
