The board has been updated. Please let me know if you encounter any (new) problems.

As part of the process, all pending account registrations (which were 99.9999999% spam) were deleted.

The "View Active Topics" has only the topics of the updated ScaRatings. The other active topics aren't showing up.

Mitch is right the "active topics" are not updating. Probably just a setting to switch over, someone wake Dante up. ;)

In addition to my Wed SIX post there was a STC post that didn't go to active topics.
The view active topics page is very important, I believe most people click on that to see what's new instead of poking all around the board index.

They should be working now. Upgraded from such an old version that it is a "bug" where you have to set it on each forum.

There may or may not be a 6 hour delay on "active topics" no, to prevent bumping.

UPDATE: This will not be fixed until later tonight. I have to go hand click this on every bloody forum and subforum on the BB; don't have access to the database directly to update it through query.

P.S. In the interim, you can use the "View New Posts" button on the right

By the way, you are the first person (I think???) to attain the first rank I added to the board, at 500 posts. Even though it's not very noticeable. :)

A few changes to note:

1) We added ranks for various posting levels.
2) We raised the amount of PMs you are allowed to have.
3) We raised the levels allowed on virtually any other setting
4) We changed away from the old Captcha (which even my young eyes had a hard time with, and which spammers had no issue beating) to topical security questions
5) We've significantly improved the amount of time it takes to get signed up.
6) The "moderating" bit works better on the back end so we can easier see who is reporting what. Regarding what we'll take action on, please see our prior postings (re: I don't care if someone says the Cubs suck.)

If you have any other suggestions, let us know!

Thanks, DANTE. The "ranks" are a nice touch, and reminiscent of some of the more fun aspects of the old BT site. I particularly like the designations for 1-24 and 42 posts.

Somebody wake Dante up Again.

The "view active topics" still isn't working. Only the threads in free for all and Your site are updating. How about the premium games & non premium games?

View new posts does seem to be working but that is not nearly as useful as active topics. New posts only shows those since you logged in last. If you don't get around to reading all them before you leave the site they are gone and you have to go picking through the board index to find current stuff.

Active topics is much better. Hook us up little hobbit. :mrgreen:
