Tis true :) Just got this email internally:

Beginning February 14th, SIQ will be moving from Buzztime Sports to Buzztime Trivia. The game will also move to Sunday evenings at 4:30pmPT/7:30pmET.

Hurray!!! Something useful to do on Sundays instead of BT Trivia.

We just have to get Diamondball back somehow (not), as well as the version of Countdown that aired on Friday or Saturday night where players would write questions and the Triv Goddess would select 15 for use in the game. Who was the Triv Goddess and whatever happened to her?

Viewer's Review was played on Tuesdays following Showdown when it ended at 7:00 P.M. Pacific. The Triv Goddess was a former employee of NTN Buzztime.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the old 30 minute, 15 question, 5 answer Wipeout with the -250 for wrong answers. My friends and I preferred it to Countdown.

Although I'm not a fan of any of the sports and entertainment games you guys would like brought back, I would like to see Passport or any one-hour geography /history game.

The Triv Goddess was Debra Weiss, who was the best I have ever seen at defusing customer annoyance or anger over something that had gone wrong, and getting their support. She took some other position with NTN before Buzztime came along. It would be interesting to know where she is today.

Hmmmm..well what do you think I might say?

Abused News for 1. That was a great game that BT just got too lazy to write. Wish it would come back at least one day a week.

2. Passport or some kind of 1 hr. Geography game. No clues needed just world wide geography.

It is amazing the number of bars I go into and someone says Passport is the one they would like to see again.

The only game I miss is Abused News. I belong to the Fark.com community, so I read the stories that became AN questions on a daily basis.

Passport is the game that can stay gone. I detested it; no interest whatsoever in playing that game again.

This has been discussed many times but I still think what made passport so irritatingly bad was the pace - or lack thereof - at which it was played. A standard 30-minute geography game would not be nearly as mind-numbing as passport was with its 30-minutes of content spread over a full hour. IMHO of course

Thought it had enough content for a 15 minute game. I agree 100% about the pace.

Restore Order. Was a fun change of pace. Couldn't play it with lag, though.

If I remember correctly, you could only use the small numbers to answer a question. That might be the only time I ever used those numbers to answers questions. I would also like to see Abused News back, it was a fun game to play.

Yup, that's why I learned to play solely with the small keys.

 Anything but Restore Order...That was a tough game and you had to depend on a strong signal for your playmaker. It was easy for the playmakers to drop a button if you didn't have a good connection and to fix any errors required the backspace key....most of the games, you can pound the button for your chosen answer til the playmaker echo's it back at you to confirm. With RO, you were just hosed if you didn't get an answer back correctly.

By the way, I learned on the small red buttons on the playmakers. I use them to this day. RO was the only Buzztime game I ever saw that REQUIRED those buttons.

I would personally vote to see PasTimes come back on Tuesdays after showdown at some point...the 30 minute version.

Another vote for the original Wipeout here with its -250 for a wrong score.

And, give it a Brainbuster level of difficulty!

Sincerely,

One who will consider a score of 5,000 to be great.

Agree on Raceday. All I seem to be able to do for the last year or two is the prediction portion. When I was still in Winchester, it would come up during the first half hour after the race got under way and people either played it or went to poker for a half hour. When they moved it to the sports network, I never saw it again because BWW always ran trivia (glad) and cards (whatever). It was fun to follow the total scores the rest of the afternoon after the trivia portion was done.

I hate to admit it, but I was also a fan of "Battle of The Sexes".

I also liked Passport and Abused News. I think Nightside would be a great alternate game for the 11:00pm slot, although if you wanted nationwide competition that could be a problem.

Also, Wipeout should be brought back. Not every game - not even close to every game - but maybe every 90 minutes or so between 2:00pm and closing. (If brought back, I am of the opinion that wrong answers should count as zero, given the nature of that game.)
