Usually the better I score the more I complain. The list yesterday however was not too bad at all. While it certainly included some simpler words, it had a range of difficulties as a good Lexitopia should, and all the words were actual functional vocabulary words not guess-the-species or insider jargon. Only minor quibble was with the quasi-slang "zonked". Definition for palpable was a touch (weak pun but very much intentional) limited but, unlike all too often, there was no distractor using the root word meaning so it was at least fair. So well done on this week's game. Surprisingly few perfects, and yet no silly gotchas on obscure fish or birds - exactly what a good word quiz should provide. |
