We were extremely disappointed with the first distractor "Politic." I don't remember the exact wording, but we looked it up in several online dictionaries after the game and arguments can certainly be made for either choice 1 or 2. Judging by the final scores and the relative simplicity of the rest of the game, I can only assume that others out there agreed with us.

Agreed. That one made me rather angry.

Pretty poorly written game, I'd say. It's a shame, as it has been an enjoyable game lately.

Agreed. Gaudy should not have been a choice. My apologies to anyone who missed that.

A remote understanding of the etymology of politic would have led people away from that "correct" answer. Crafty and unscrupulous is about the most infrequent use of the word possible.

I found that to be worse than the gaudy duplicate, and think it benefited Googlers more than anything.
