It was likely taken from the story of the bishop examining his young orchard.

The ebullient bishop, who had scrimped and obtained a donative baldachin, was whelmed in considering the haecceity of the stele of his pear tree's becoming a bole, and the thought of its fruit whet his appetite for some of the navarin being prepared by his contumelious chef.

I know -- too much time on my hands now that there's no NTN site within 2 hours' drive!
