The three finalists for this season's Super Bowl halftime show are Coldplay, Katy Perry and Rihanna :o

All three have been Playback Headliners :lol:

The NFL in its infinite avarice wants the acts to pay for the privilege. Hopefully, they'll all give the league a hearty f.u., and we'll be left with halftime the way it's meant to be. Empty field for about 12 minutes, just enough time for fans at the game to pee or get a snack and for the broadcast to show a few commercials and a bit of recap and analysis.

I remember the Up With People halftime shows, but they haven't been asked to the halftime shows since the late-1980's. I haven't heard from then or seen them around lately. Are they still in existence?

I looked them up on Wikipedia and apparently they still are.
