Okay, I've enjoyed looking at YEEYEE this week but I wonder: shouldn't you actually be a "Player" before you get appointed "POTW"

YEEYEE is much easier to look at than virtually every NTN player I've had on an adjoining stool for the past 23 years. She's so attractive, I decided to look her up on Buzztime to see if she plays anywhere close enough for me to possibly stalk. Alas, she apparently resides in Bowling Green, KY, well outside my grazing area.

Still, when I located her statistics I was surprised that she could be considered for the coveted POTW crown as it appears that she really doesn't play the game much at all.

Could it possibly be that NTN is judging this on pure looks alone and a candidate's playing ability and dedication enters into the judging not at all?

Say it isn't so!

All she does is play poker, don't get P+ points for that. Just click on the CARDS tab.

So as much as it pains me to say it, she appears to be a fairly loyal BT follower. Just not trivia.

I'm now sending sweet ol' Bob to the showers to cool off, you horny old goat! :D

Let's see: there's one open stool at the bar next to BO. There's another one available next to YEEYEE.

Where would you sit?

Me? I think I'll be playing Texas HoldEm today.

Heh, how nice of whomever at NTN Buzztime is tasked to fabricate the oh so glowing writeups of their POTWs to now shift to poker instead of trivia. With the exception of MITOM and maybe at most one other, methinks the others might not win more than five out of 100 Countdown games against most (if not all) of us here, if even that many. The audacity to even suggest that those others had perfect Countdown games reeks of disingenousness.

Hells bells. As if showing mediocre players as the network POTW was not enough, Buzztime Southern California has now started.

Why do I get the impression that selecting the POTW is just random, with little (or no) regard as to how long he/she have been playing, or how many P+ points accumulated?

Here's the latest (as of this writing) POTW...

Yeah, Bob, I'm sure his looks alone made him worthy of being named POTW!

Well, hell. How wonderfully convenient for ARSE (or whomever the fuck he is ) to have the claim of a nonverifiable perfect Wipeout game.

Seems like the spirit (if not the credibility) of POTW is lost when NTN Buzztime (or the POTW) claim accomplishments further back than the prior week, never mind the last 180 days. :o

EDIT - Somehow, the claim of a perfect Wipeout game looks even more suspect after seeing that his Lunchtime average is around 3,300 and his Countdown average is less than 8,000.

His bio said he got a perfect 10,000 on Wipeout. I responded saying Wipeout was a 15 question game. It was changed to 15,000 later on.

I equate the POTW to Yasser Arafat winning the Nobel PEACE Prize...... a Big Joke. (in most cases)
