So I don't think I like the new color scheme for Countdown, but I know I hate the color scheme for the Late Shift. The moving wave is very distracting. I don't see myself playing much, if any of this game, anyway, but didn't they learn the lesson about moving parts in the playing surface when they introduced Buzztime in Black August?

I actually liked the color scheme for Late Shift, but am not all that crazy about the game itself. Really, it's Buzztime Trivia with a new look. Big deal!

The only thing about the new Countdown I don't like are the graphics; I think it was a little easier to see the questions before.

COOGS and I stayed to play one LS; we ended up No.2 against whoever we were playing against. I really didn't think BT had fulfilled its self-declared mission of turning out an easier, more entertainment/pop culture-based game. I guess the "dumbing down" part was taken care of by the kiddie question: "Who would use a stethoscope?"

I played a total of five games from 10:30-11:45 Eastern. The games did not seem any different from the old Buzztime games. I kept track of the number of pop culture questions for the first four games I played. The 10:30 game had two pop culture questions while the next three games had three each. The games didn't seem appreciably easier than past Buzztime games, although I did manage a perfect score on 2 of the 4. The last game I played, the 11:30 game, was a repeat of a Buzztime game from Monday night.

Back on the 3rd, I posted a bunch of random thoughts in the NEW EAST/WEST SCHEDULE thread

I was right that this game is merely Buzztime Trivia renamed. I was wrong that they would add clues
