During the Think Again round of Spotlight last night at BWW-Brentwood in St. Louis, somebody playing was given 2500 points in one of the sets of 3 questions. I did not get a shot of the leaderboard showing that, but I did snap their end of round total of a mathematically impossible 9500:

It's amazing the types of excuses people will use for being in second place.

"That question was bogus."
"I've had too many beers."
"That guy violated all laws of mathematical probability."

Nope, we got it at our bar too. Two random boxes in our group were awarded 3000 points, rather than 2000, on a triad of questions.

Excellent, that few thousand pt glitch put BWW Gaithersbug MD ahead for the 8 pt win over Stadium Cafe of FDallas TX. Gaithersburg had 9 boxes to Stadium's 6.

Don't think we got that extra thousand. Would have helped put us over the top on Friday. That, and my not being slow on the last question. Ah well. Can't win em all. Nicely done to Gaithersburg.
