Post subject: | Strange new batch of locations? |
I was noticing on the site finder that a bunch of new locations come up. They all are listed as 'classic' locations with the blue playmaker logo and none of them show any player or game stats. Whats really strange is that they are not bar\restaurant locations. Does anyone know what BT is up to on these? What's odd is that they don't come up on an initial search by using the search box in the upper left corner of the website. Once you click on the 'view map', they appear with the rest and are mapped out. For example, when searching for Austin, TX - the ususal batch of BWW's and mom/pop places known to have the game come up. When clicking on view map, stuff like this is added(schools, corporate offices, community orgs, etc): American Ballet Theatre Winship Drama Building, 300 E. 23rd Street Austin, TX 78712 (512) 232-7099 ProAssurance 1221 S. Mopac Expressway Austin, TX 78746 (512) 905-7313 CLEAResult 4301 Westbank Dr., Bldg. A, Ste. 300 Austin, TX 78746 (512) 416-5949 KIPP Austin Public Schools 8509 FM 969 Austin, TX 78724 (512) 676-9773 3M Company 6801 River Place Blvd Austin, TX 78726 (512) 984-2960 |

Same thing in the D.C./Maryland area. Buzztime is trying to fix a recent website upgrade that didn't go well. It seems they have some old lists of contacts mixed in with the current bar locations in the mapping software. Hard to say what these strange locations ever had to do with buzztime? Maybe some corporate meetings with their content in a trivia format? I know BT was into that years ago. I do know some of the D.C. area locations are Stump live trivia sites, old BT reps complete with phone numbers, live trivia hosts home addresses, locations that have dropped BT a long time ago. Just a big mess of names and addresses that shouldn't ever have been put out there in the public domain. Bottom line, forget all of them, they are not real sites, never will be. |
