Wonder if this will affect Buzztime at all?

There had been some whisper the past couple weeks that Roark Capital wanted to take BWW private. That this isn't mentioned in BRUTUS's article suggests that the deal has been tweaked significantly since I first caught wind of it.

Man you beat me to it. Just saw this on my news feed. Buzztime is the only thing keeping me going to the local bw3, so if they were to punt trivia, no reason to go. (other than perhaps the points app on my phone for the occasional free entree ....)

The first thing that the acquiring company will do is look where to cut costs.

Hmmm, I wonder what big expense will be cut first.
Buzztime should be worried about Arby's.

Roark capital has already said there will be no major changes at BWW. It will be its own separate entity as Arby's and Cinnabon already are under the Roark name.

There will be some menu additions and tweaks like at Arby's that turned them around. The "We have the Meats" campaign was their new well received addition.

Buzztime is not going anywhere at BWW. The order and pay by credit card enabled Gen 4 tablets will be hitting BWW starting in 2018.

This infusion of cash and deep pockets of Roark are actually a good thing for Buzztime.

Play on knowing things are better off financially for BWW.

Agreed.
The "We have the Meats" campaign should take a place adjacent to the "Don't squeeze the Charmin" franchise.

That "We Have The Meats" thingie resonated *sooooooooooo* much with me (not at all) that I had to go looking on YouTube for a video to see if I had ever seen
one of these supposed fabulously memorable commercials.

Well... Very very very very vaguely familiar, sorta... Maybe.

Sure didn't compel me to go racin' for an Arby's... There's one about 3 blocks from me, and I don't think I've never been in it. Is their superhot, drippy, flavorless cheese the same as I remember it from my few stops at other Arby's in the distant past?

Anyway, hope the whole acquisition works out well... For BT, that is...
