When you go to any player's page the URL has a number at the end. I assume that is the player ID assigned in numerical order from when Buzztime started? I Just noticed one of the players at my home location is player number 93 !! He doesn't have all that many Players Plus points considering he has been playing that long, he is under 3 million points. He only shows up every 6 months and plays 3 games.

Well, hell. Given that this lil old grump was one of the first to sign up for P+ back in January 95 and that my ID number is substantially beyond what one would expect , seems that assumption is flawed. :(

Dennis, what is your home site? Unlike LILJOL, with whom I generally agree but not always, what little I have in hand supports your conjecture.

My mother might still retain Lift Ticket #143 for the single lift chair out of Aspen village, I'm guessing Christmas 1948. The chairlift was installed in 1946, but were the tickets numbered? Likewise, the architecture of the URL on Buzztime's website might have been rearranged since LILJOL joined Players Plus.

If SCAR or ANON shout me down, as they're sometimes obliged to do, we'll just forget about this conversation.

I joined P+ very early on, within the 1st couple weeks. My number is in the 207,000 range. Maybe changing home locations back when you had to call in to BT generated a new number? I never paid attention to what number I had back in 95.

Liljol's number is far higher than mine and I know he has changed locations far more often than I in the past. Possible reason?

My home site is BWW in Fairview Park Oh, https://www.buzztime.com/site/33980/players The playmakers have been removed but the site is still listed. The player in question is DEMON: https://www.buzztime.com/players/profile/rt/93 Heck, I have never seen him since he played so infrequently.

So is that number a Player's Plus number of just a Buzztime number? I did check some of the players with huge numbers of points and most of the top point leaders don't have particularly low numbers. However, WAZO, the 14th ranked player, is number 89: https://www.buzztime.com/players/profile/rt/89 Still very active and if someone knows him/her you could find out how long they have been playing.

You can also go to any player's page and edit the URL to be any number you want. I Played around a bit and so far haven't found a number lower then 89 that is still active.

A quick look around shows most of the long time, beginning of P+ players, are in the 206,000 to 220,000 ID number range. I see very few under those numbers with a quick look, except for DEMON #93 that plays at BWW Fairview Park OH and AG FOX is at 64,000 ID number.

Then a good bunch of long time, high P+ players in the 2 million to 6 million ID range. Then the blatant, fraudulent account combiners such as PJ SHUE in the 22 million ID range.

I will say the ID numbers change to a new current number when combined. I never combined any accounts so around 206,000 is probably around the low number after some BT reorganizing at some point in time.

That of course doesn't explain #93. Some accounts slipped through whatever number reorganization happened. They were inactive at the time but then reinstated after and the number stayed?

So, all the guys with Super high P+ points and newer 20 million + ID numbers are fucking cheaters and you know it.

Awesome, my id 207133 further affirms me as a paragon of Buzztime integrity.

Perhaps the 2-digit id #'s are a result of Buzztime, for some reason, subtracting one id # from another, that were close together?

Yeah, it's strange. Seems like there are a lot of you guys in the 200,000 range. But still, you can edit that final number in the URL to any low number, from 2 digit to 3, 4, 5 digit, press 'enter' and see who shows up. Someone is there at all the ones I try. Most are not active.

Perhaps past and present BT employees? That would explain why most are not active.

oh, okay I didn't know all those low # spots have become occupied, I suspect recently.

I did pid # research back in 2010. I was tracking top Speed Freaks players at that time. Everyone I was tracking had either a 5-, 6-, or 7-digit pid #. Badges did not exist yet at that time, those came with the time zone split in 2012.

Now, there exist pid #'s all the way back to a 1 named Freya. And it seems every one of these low # players has some badges, in fact they seem to all have very similar #'s of badges between 70-100. hmm to that. Whereas a lot of 5-digit players around 29xxx (the lowest # I noted in 2010) are inactive with 0 badges.

Mine is 11603358 and I started playing about a year and a half to two years ago. I searched 1160335, 116033, etc. and none of those players had any recent activity.

Hey Everyone. :)

What is this website:

https://stg.buzztime.com/play

And why do the stats look completely made-up?

Just a BT software test site. The top handles at the top bars bars for prime games are test names listed as playing in Carlsbad.
The site is not meant for the public, how did you stumble on it?

It was the first result of my Google search "buzztime players", I think.

When I try the same search right now I don't get the same results.

This is pretty standard for web development. the 'STG' indicates it is a staging website where upcoming changes can be QA'd and tested before rolling out to the live site.

At my company, the 'STG.' version was behind the firewall and you could only access while on VPN as 'top secret' offers, promotions and changes were often tested well in advance of Press release.

I suppose the web developers at BT sloppily borrowed the practice and missed the piece of limiting access to the corporate network.
