My teammate DROLL, who also is a Sporcle trivia regular, forwarded me the following announcement he received recently:
"Sporcle is proud to announce the acquisition of Stump! Trivia, which has been a part of NTN Buzztime since 2011.
Founded in 1999, Stump! Trivia operates various live-hosted game formats, including Stump! Trivia, Opinionation, and Listen Up Music Bingo.
Stump!'s events are held in 22 different states. Of those 22 states, 14 of them will be new areas for Sporcle Live trivia. Most of Stump!'s events are on the East Coast, with the majority taking place in the Boston area.
Boston and the Northeast, in general, have long been an area where sporcle.com quizzes are immensely popular. We are ecstatic to give those website users great live trivia experiences with both Stump! and Sporcle Live trivia nights at bars, restaurants, and special events.
With the addition of Stump! to the Sporcle family, we will be able to combine forces with their talented team of HQ staff and trivia hosts to create a live trivia national footprint. We also look forward to working together to improve the live trivia experience for everyone who plays trivia across the country.
All of Stump!'s staff and trivia hosts will be brought on as a part of Sporcle's team. We will be working over the next several weeks to make this as smooth as a transition for everyone as possible.
