I think Tim and Dante know how, I'll ask them.

You can't do it any more, used to be able to edit you're handle on the BT website and use keyboard symbols and numbers.
BT fixed that bug but people who had the chance to do it are grandfathered in for now.

There are some symbols that the BT computers can't handle and they turn the national player boards into a mess.
All the players and their bars are moved over a line and down in the rankings because of the weird symbol in a certain person's handle here in MD.

He gets a chuckle out of seeing the boards screwed up after his handle. He doesn't play too much these days.

The "&" from Canukistan doesn't mess the rankings up but other symbols do.
