I know there's some stat experts on here and noticed a new feature on the players website.

The top trivia sites has an additional stat which is labeled "total score" I'm not sure if it's players plus points or what it is. But I know the totals should end evenly in the 100s if it's players plus.

Another thought, what state has the strongest teams and or the more frequent locations you see on the top 20 network rankings? When I play, Ohio has a crapload on the rankings. But I also see a lot of Texas, Florida and California sites. Between all the states that frequent the top 20 or even by medal count and top 100s, which state would you all consider to be the "elite state?"

Just a couple thoughts to throw out to everyone.

It is just another meaningless stat that BT won't explain. Also there are no elite states, only elite bars.

Can we go by Top 20 appearances per capita? :)

My suspicion is that the total points stat is just the sum of the scores of every game played by every player registered at that site.

Maryland would easily win the top 20 rankings per capita.
Delaware may be 2nd due to the small size.

I don't see any other Delaware bars besides Stewarts & JWs. Maryland has 7-10 strong bars and we're not that much bigger.

But then again I don't play day time and you guys may rack up a bunch then.

The site with the fewest total points in Connecticut is Lager House in West Haven, with 3,323. Looking at the scores as posted at buzztime.com, I have absolutely no idea how that figure was calculated.

I think I figured out now the "total score" is figured out, I was looking at Reno's Roadhouse in Prestonburg, KY. There are a total of 3 registered players plus members. The only player that has played a buzztime trivia game was JILL. which scored 1,353. Looking at Renos total score was indeed.. 1,353. So Im assuming they're tracking cumulative game scores by players plus members to come up with that stat.

Looking at my site, 3,000,000 is miniscule because we really don't have a lot of regulars. On the other hand, ERICs site (BWW Ironton, OH) has over 145,000,000 which from personal experience, can easily believe.

I dumped my game play history into Excel. In the last six months the cumulative score from all of my games is 12,421,074.

At the risk of your computer blowing a gasket, figure that out for STEVE from 86th St. Pub.
Don't forget to stand back about, oh, six feet ought to do it.

It's not Indiana.
One down, forty-nine to go.
Glad to help. :)

Wow--Ohio beat out CA and TX? Or was it just ERIC, Bargos and Cadillac Jack's? ;)

Still, I confess I'm kind of surprised. And just wait 'til the weather turns bad and there's nothing much to do outside...

You can add a few others in Ohio that helps that number out that are regulars...

Of course--how could I neglect to add Blue Goose to the mix? That Cincy-Dayton axis seems to carry the state.
