I have maintained for years that I play Buzztime better after two large beers. Now we have proof I was right:

Beer makes men smarter.

So say researchers at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

...

Half the players were given two pints. The other half got nothing.

The result? Those who imbibed solved 40% more of the problems than their sober counterparts.

Of course, I am living, walking proof of this. I didn't start drinking beer until I went off to college, and I now know much more than I did in my pre-beer drinking days.

Allow me to introduce an old classmate of mine.

I believe CLOUDY when he says he was a classmate of a man who was born in 1879. I didn't think he was quite that young, but obviously I mis-estimated him

Old age is only in young peoples' minds. Once you make it past 60, there are no longer any old farts. No matter what year you and they were born in, you now see each other as being the same age. In time you might understand this.

"Guys, the van is here. What bar do you want to go to tonight to play trivia?"

p.s. Al probably had me by a few years back in our college days, but he could put the brewsklis down with the rest of us. He would never drink domestic beers, and always ordered fancy brew that came from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or the Netherlands.
