I nearly have the complete collection of the "Super Hits of the 70s" collection of CDs. I believe that there are 25 CDs in the collection, and I just picked up volume 11. If you are an audiophile, who likes music from the 1970s, I strongly suggest that you pick them up. Most of the CDs are reasonably priced, however volume 11 is not. (I have been told that volume 11 costs way too much, because there was a song on it that the recording company didn't have premission to put on the CD, so they stopped issuing it.)

Anyway, I just went though the ones I have, and listened to a few that I think are pretty damn good. It was hard to just pick out five, but I have and here they are:

1- "Na Na Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)" by Steam

2- "Green Eyed Lady" by Sugarloaf

3- "Spiders and Snakes" by Jim Stafford

4- "Lotta Love" by Nicolette Larson

5- "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate

(The "Super Hits of the 70s" CD collection has them all. I may have picked out five that I liked that you don't, but I promise you you will find other songs on them that you will remember and like.)

Reading the liner notes is imperative.
Quality snippets.

If you paid a lot for #11, you got robbed.
I just looked at mine and the best song on there is probably "Uneasy Rider"; not a good sign...

The guy that wrote Dueling Banjos died in April. Might increase it's value.

I screwed up, what a surprise...!

I didn't intend to create a new thread. It was just supposed to be a post on the "Last 5 Song Redux" thread.

Hell, I wish there was some way that I could move this all over to where it ought to be.
