He was an actual bartender that Cloudy came across. Cloudy was impressed with the way Chip presented his customers with the opportunity to play BT as soon as they sat down at his bar. Chip has since disappeared.

The thread then morphed into what it is today.

This is where "Chip the Bartender" began on the Buzztime Players site. After 4,283 posts, 54,098 views, and 429 pages, here we go again.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"My friend and I dropped into the BW3's in Cicero, New York, this evening. The guy behind the bar was Chip. He was a great bartender, and took care of us as if we were vistiting dignitaries. However, that is not the reason for this post.

After an hour or so, another couple climbed up on the bar stools next to us. After Chip got them their drinks, he asked them, "Would you like some Playmakers?" He might as well have asked them if they would like some Interroceters. ("This Island Earth") They had no idea what he was talking about. Instead of walking off to return to his bartending chores, Chip took the time to explain NTN trivia to them. Next thing you knew they both had Playmakers in front of them and were playing the game.

Bars that have NTN need more bartenders like Chip. This guy is truly a "Blue Chipper". It would be nice if there was some way that NTN could reward bartenders like Chip."

p.s. DANTE wanted to bring the entire thread over to the "ScaRatings", but if you look at the above numbers, this was an impossible task.

I estimated it would take about 5 hours of copying and pasting to get them over here. They wouldn't be in any kind of reply mode (all the messages would appear under the person who is doing the copying and pasting), but if it's important to you, I'll show you how to do it, then you can repeat the process 108+ times.

Give it time, I am sure the new one will become larger than the old one. Just keep Mr Ale out of here. Seems like he was the only one that took this thread seriously.

My first post on Scaratings
:D
Most of my 600+ post last year were on Cloudy's forum. I will try to be an active poster. And stay on topic.
Glad to see Cloudy is on here.
Have you been trainning for the 30 yard dash this spring Cloudy? ;)

hope all yooz guys in L'ville are doing fine.
I got my neighbor evicted last week. very nice here now. She tried to asault me with a knife and some local thugs, but my son would not let me go outside and play with them. She wondered why I did not call the cops, it is because I called CPS and had her children placed in foster care. The oldest just turned 5, there are 4 of them. I think I may have made the right choice :?:

How does one spell check here???

Mr Ale took everything seriously, but I would not keep him out. Just ignore him.

There's a couple of folks from the Buzztime forum that I hope don't show up here, but if they do I'll just do as Frank said.

I like the way this forum is set up. There's isn't an "Ignore" function, you just designate them as a "Foe". :D

I don't think Scar has any plans to keep anyone out, as a few people could probably discern from looking at the user roles. There are people who I personally don't ever want to see here, but then again the 'ole intellectual tries to be fair. And I suppose with reference that I'd not hit approve on myself from 10 years ago if he decided to sign up, so perhaps everyone deserves a second chance.

But I do like and will use the Foe functionality. :P

I was referring to the Chip the Bartender thread and not the site. People are reading too much into this.

I stole this from the forum: joke of the day
I like #6

Number 10: Life is sexually transmitted.

Number 9: Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Number 8: Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich.

Number 7: Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

Number 6: Some people are like a Slinky. Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Number 5: Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

Number 4: All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to Criticism.

Number 3: Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00 and a substantial tax cut saves you $30.00?

Number 2: In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.. Now the world is Weird and people take Prozac to make it normal..

And The Number 1 Thought For 2010: We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among millions and millions of cows, but we haven't got a clue as to where millions of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of Immigration.

Bonus: "Life is like a jar of Jalapeno peppers. What you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow."

Or, to the pessimist:

#10 - Life is a sexually transmitted disease. :D
