Sure why not...just ban everything!! Oh wait, this is America right?

Seriously, what's the difference between the kid ordering a happy meal or just other "bad-for-you" foods off the menu? This is just yet another ploy for the local and/or state governments to fine someone and therefore profit by it. So my next question is....are they going to employ plain clothed people to go out and spy on what people are ordering at restaurants the same way liquor control does for bars serving to underage people? What a waste of time and money.

Well, this law is silly on several levels. No matter what, people can go out and find the worst food in the world to eat. They don't have to buy it at a restuarant. You can go to the grocery store and load up on mac and cheese and spend less than you would at McDonald's. Isn't that right Dante. :P

CARDS, you stole my thunder...

You are absolutely correct. Banning "Happy Meals" will in no way make America a healthier place.

I will add this. My paranoid fear of the progressive, Nanny State, bureaucrats' agenda, makes me wonder if this is not another small step forward, as they inch their way towards the next small step. Their small steps are easily acheived, irreversible, and set them up to continue their agenda. They are slowly inching their way forward to control everything we do from birth to the grave.
