New Scaratings

I just learned that FAUCON (Wayne Neily), long-time contributor to the old BT Forums and here, passed away a year ago today (also his birthday). He had not played for some time because of a lack of sites near him in Nova Scotia, but he had been a player from the earliest days of NTN--his first game was in 1988.

Wayne kept a spreadsheet of results from his Showdown team and network winners from the early days which seem to be the most complete records of Showdown from the early '90s out there. He very kindly shared them with me many years ago. If anyone is interested in the spreadsheet, I think he would have been delighted that someone took an interest in them. Although some years are incomplete, they mark the heyday of NickelodeInn, Holiday Inn DFW, etc. from 1993-1996, before Don Denton's site has more complete records from 1997 on.

yes, kevin, i would like to see that. we were just getting started then.

Will do, Jim. I'll email it to you. He sent it to me as an RTF document which is kind of wonky, so I will copy and paste the data into and Excel spreadsheet.

Fair warning, it mostly has just the winners and runners-up for each game in the first few columns, and then the data from whatever his home location was at the time in other columns.
