Michael Stanley, 72, Rock Musician/DJ

Although The Michael Stanley Band only had a few Top 40 hits, Stanley was immensely popular regionally--selling out 20,000-seat arenas in Cleveland, for example--in the 1970s and 1980s. Variety has a nice write-up:

RenFaire performer Clark "Ded Bob" Orwick

I appreciate that those who don't go to Renaissance Festivals where he performed all over the country and world may have no idea who he is, but for those of us who enjoyed being "Bobmotized" and laughing at true gallows humor will miss him a lot:

Children's book author Beverly Cleary:
https://www.nbcnewyork.com/entertainmen ... 4/2967359/

I remember the summer in between fourth and fifth grades I spent reading the Beezus/Ramona and Henry Huggins books. Back in the late 1990s my mother and stepfather lived for a while at the same retirement community in Carmel Valley where she resided, and my mother spoke with her a number of times. Had my family stayed in that California community, I would have had a chance to meet her as well, but they moved to one in Sarasota before I had time to visit.

Probably won't mean much to the guys on this list, but I was a girl in the 1970s, and had several of her dresses.
