New Scaratings

Those of us at BWW in Rochester, NY are mourning the passing of our good friend and fellow player, Rick Wahl, a.k.a., NITRO.
He lost his battle with cancer on 5/21.
Rick was good at questions on plants, animals, and even national parks.
He was a big fan of Tiger Woods, and had been looking forward to seeing the PGA when it plays here in Rochester this August. The NITRO handle came from his interest in drag racing when he was younger.
His wake and funeral were held last night (5/24), after which we all headed down the street to BWW.
The management there donated 200 wings to our group, which was very kind of them. But Rick had been a regular there even before he ever started playing trivia.
So we congregated in their back room, reminisced, and celebrated his life.
The manager put trivia up on the big screen in the room, and several of us played.
We thought he was going to beat his illness, and would join us again when he could. During the last Smartest Bar competition, I played a box for him to keep his account active.
Sadly, he won't be coming back. I played a box one final time for him last night. It was my own way of honoring him.

We'll miss you, Rick!

My Condolences. I have lost 4 Trivia friends in the past seven years, one of whom became my best friend.
