John Kuhbander, or STU as we knew him, from Cadillac Jacks and Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers in the Dayton/Kettering Ohio area passed away in his home the other night. Many will know STU from the Triviapalooza events he attended. STU was an avid player with above 30 million player plus points and was seen frequently at or near the top top of the Race Day boards.

We lost another good one... we'll miss you STU.

Tolle, sorry to hear that the southern Ohio group has lost a good friend and great trivia player. Saw his name on the boards many times.

Very sorry to read this. Thanks for the post Dave, and the pictures Harry.

I first met Stu somewhere in I think Hamilton OH; on a lark I drove up from Louisville on a Saturday afternoon and joined Stu, Bigdog, Fog and another gentleman from the Dayton area, and we had much fun amidst high scores.

I ran across Stu a few times after that at Caddy Jacks, but then he moved on to Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers which I never made it to.

May he rest in peace.

Shocking news. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. We had the pleasure of meeting Stu at the Wichita bash in early 2000-something with FOG and ND. Fun guys. He visited us just a few years ago at Hard Times on his way to a drag race in Richmond. Another fun night. We shared his love of NASCAR, and enjoyed playing Race Day against him & the Ohio crew back in the day. He knew we were big Kevin Harvick fans and he loved to rib me with "Harvick is a boob!"

RIP Stu.

Well that plain sucks!

STU was a part of the Room 123 group at Bargo's Triviapalooza. Some funny stories from there.

RIP, STU!

Sincerest sympathies to you and the rest of STU's trivia family.

Condolences to all of STU's family, friends, and Buzztime compatriots. It was always fun to try and top them in RaceDay...another poor decision by Buzztime

I'm sorry about being so late, but I just saw the post about Stu's passing. I met him several times on my trips to Dayton. He was a wonderful person, extremely smart, very friendly, and one of the few people I've ever played trivia with, who could out drink me. Not only could he out drink me, he got better scores at the same time.

Even though a lot of time has gone by, I felt that I needed to make this post, because Stu's death is something that makes me want to cry. I don't want to think that I will never meet him again.
