With a total loss of words, and the hopes that all our local folks have been previously contacted, I must inform that we have unexpectedly and suddenly lost one of our friends, Carole Garrett.

Known in our little corner of the world as HATLDY and CIELLE, she will be missed and remembered. Daisy fresh with a woman's touch.

Condolences to family and all of Carole's friends.

I will post visitation and funeral notices as I obtain them.

Cut and Pasted, included the header with date & timestamp , then edited. Probably screwed it up somewhere.

I was there when it happened. Very sad. Still remember that night.
I too was wondering about the date. Don't remember the month being that long :roll:

Cards, I remember you telling me she collapsed shortly after the running of the Preakness.

Preakness that year was May 21, 2005, so May 22nd date appears correct (I know you guys are kidding me but I thought I'd check anyway).

Yes, the Preakness was over and I was playing trivia waiting for the Reds-Indians game to start. Fridays was very busy that night.

11 years ago to the day. Still remember that day as if it was last year. A lot has changed since then.

So it's been about 11 years that I've played Buzztime in Louisville. I met HATLDY when I started playing in Louisville, and she passed into the great trivia pub in the sky about 2/3 months later.

My only prayer is that HATLDY and CLOUDY are again playing together again
