Carol passed away on Monday July 3rd 2017 after a battle with cancer, survived by her husband Michael (MONET) and daughter Rebecca. My wife and I met Carol and Michael about 3 years ago at the BWWW Marietta on occasional Friday nights, and became friends over time. They were just a delightful couple. Carol had a Masters in Biological Science, and was an avid reader and member of multiple book clubs. Her trivia knowledge was very broad. We used to share our own "factoids" on the previous questions subject matter, and Carol would quite often quickly correct me and I her, and we would use the magic smartphone to see who was right. It was usually about 50/50, and my wife would giggle and say we were exactly the same about debating which one was right. For months we hadn't seen them when Carol went through chemo and just wasn't able to do much. A few months ago the chemo stopped and the initial result was cancer free, but very recently it returned and we lost her extremely quickly. We are heading to the service shortly. Michael has indicated they he will want us to have a trivia game in her honor soon, accompanied by another couple "CJ" and DJ", and I will raise a toast to another former player. Carol, thanks for your friendship, and we will miss you terribly. Scar/Scott |
