New Scaratings

I've had a few PMs form folks offering to volunteer in one capacity or another to the "development" of this site.

Dante kindly resurrected my previous forum groupings, which as you can tell are in some ways archaic now, some ways appropriate, and some a little lame depending on your viewpoints.
Don't really have a plan outside of getting this up before the BT forums disappeared.

My site used to include site rankings in a somewhat different format from Don Denton's on premium games, but BT has expanded their HOF postings to include specialty games. We could have member blogs, recaps of games, Badbob type site data,whatever else you might think is possible.

Anyway, what are y'alls ideas out there ? Including just limiting this to a PHP BB.

I'll throw out one.

I always wanted to develop a fantasy trivia player application.

"I'm drafting Tiefly for this Tuesday night's Showdown" followed by a PM saying "Please play, I'm counting on you" followed by another PM "What? There is nothing more important than trivia !"

Followed by the next days post "I'm never drafting Tiefly again".

it would be great to add site and player data which is not found on BT ... if it is just a 'repeat' of that actul data thouhgh it would be a waste of your time ... as you said this is a PHP BB and that is a big plus ... it is fast and easy to move around in and gives us a place to go for 'conversation' and discusion.

The Fantasy Player draft sounds like a fun idea, particularly when it comes to some of the TOPIX games and knowing the subject before hand.

Scott, as for your scenario of a solo player playing a team game, if drafted, I would be mighty tempted to get my butt to a site where there were other people sharing answers, so as to: 1) help you win 2) not to look so stupid.

As a bonus, I was teetering on whether to go out last night or not, and something like this would have had me at a site playing, instead of sitting at home getting work done and posting up a frenzy in the ROYL thread.

Anyway, I'm drafting MEGUMI for any & all games!

Is anyone still interested in the player draft? I think it's a great idea and sounds like it'd be a lot of fun.

I think there should be some site rankings on here. Kind of along the lines of what you had before. That data didn't copy Don Denton. It was great for travelers & state/regional bragging rights.
