Tonight is the first time in 17 years I won’t be sitting in the Buzztime office waiting for the first football kick-off of the season in conjunction with the start of the QB1 game. I’m either going to The Draft in Oceanside or BWW in Encinitas to play Buzztime Sports. It may be different than QB1 but it is still a great avenue for pro football fans across the country to prove who really knows more than the person sitting next to them. Even if my rankings aren’t the highest, they will help my favorite football team’s national rankings…. Go Chargers!!

Please look for a location with Buzztime Sports near you so we can play together! If you can’t find one near you now, don’t worry, it will be coming soon! http://www.buzztime.com/buzztime-sports

It can be found at all tablet bars. We have it at our BWW but I doubt anyone has played it except for 1 guy, 1 time. It seems to be the same as the Jackpot game, played against only the players in your bar. (for this sports game it seems the points earned are totaled weekly with fans of each of the NFL teams) We all prefer the scheduled national trivia games by far.

I hope BT isn't putting too much time and money into these style of games. How about a NEW, good old national rankings game in the prime time schedule? Maybe a 30 minute game before Playback? I'm sure there's a way to come up with a game different from countdown that's not all college football.

Of course we aren't playing anything in Gaithersburg since Thursday when the BT system went down. A techie is coming out to look on Tuesday. Hopefully we'll be good by Thursday.

I just noticed the MATCHUPS. Please explain.

BTW, I used to play QB1 back in he 1990's at my local Black Angus restaurant. I even bought my own gameplayer (?) for use at home, from the Mountain View office at the time.

Welcome VIRSIR,

Each week the BT schedule follows the NFL schedule. So this week the cumulative scores for ALL the Baltimore fans (381k weekly avg) will be "matched up" playing the AZ fans (437k weekly avg). That's all scores from all games, played all week. So it just comes down to which fans play the most times.

There are no rankings shown when you play, but I guess it's fun for kids.

Mr BUD: Thank you for the greetings and clarification!

Mr. LILJOL: Thank you also. Nice to see you again since the 1990s!

I played it once or twice when I got to the bar early and was waiting for the next round of Countdown to start. It was okay...most of the questions seemed fairly easy...biggest factor was personally don't care for the fact that you are only playing with/against others at your location but still not sure I'd choose it over other games based on the format.
