Congratulations to Rob B and Bill (Megumi) for invidual and bar rank #1's respectively.
For my board 1) 30/30 2) 25/30 3) 31.5/50 4) 35/40 5) 48/60 for 169.5.
So after major league baseball training sites, 60% of them in Florida, last week we at Varsity Grill in Tallahassee, FL are repaid big time with match the CFL great to his team (only Kendo even got 2 points on this one) and match the Stanley Cup Winner to the last coach that won with them (thankfully all answers ranged from 1990-2011) and we all go 12/12.
Things started going downhill when I inexplicably change from Pat Day to Mike Smith on the third profiles question. Notable incorrect spellings in round three are Andy Pettitte (all these years I think it's Pettite) Victoria Azarenka (I spell RZ before I realize it's wrong and switch to OZ) and we all drew a blank on the Phoenix Coyote coach before I realize it's DT, which we were having by that time, for Dave Tippett.
The pollen down here is absolute murder causing excessive watering of the eyes for those of us allergy sufferers and the air conditioning apparently was out but the camraderie from L Pato, Kendo, Arthur, Richard (TPG) and Ronda (she helped a little) is priceless.

Pettitte is the correct spelling. I enjoyed the game last night. It was tough but that is why I enjoyed it. First time that I had played it in a long time.

I know this is technically in the wrong thread but I'll put it out there anyway. Last question flustered me a little. Michel Therien did NOT lead the Penguins to their last Stanley Cup Championship. The name that appears on the Stanley Cup is Dan Bylsma. Therien did coach the team up until around 20 games to go until he got fired.

A bit more difficult game last night, but overall a good one, apart from some of the aforementioned technical errors.

My results:
Round 1 - 27/30

Round 2 - 22.1 Only 2.1 total on the Ian Kennedy questions. I didnt recall what his record was from last year, and
also didnt recall that he started with the Yankees. 10/10 on each of the Junior Seau and
Pat Day questions.

Round 3 - 39.1 2nd consecutive week of sub-40 in this round. Had much trouble with the Dave Tippet question
and also surprisingly butchered the NCAA tourney questions even though I figured there would
be 3 of them in there.

Round 4 - 24.0 Was sitting on 01 instead of 00. ALso had trouble with 1962 (I was was on 63). Only 2 points on
each of the 57 and 90 questions.

Round 5 - 52/60 Last 4 matching questions were all 12/12. Managed 4/12 on the CFL question on total guessing.
Was just as likely to get 0/12 or 12/12 as I was just pushing buttons on that one.

Congrats to Rob and Bill on the excellent scores this week...and the usual cast of characters: BUG, BLJAYS, BO, SPOTES, QUAFF, EL SID, TNC, and anyone else I missed...and the usual sites Runyons, Varsity, Stadium Cafe, JP Shakers, 86th Street Pub, etc. STATS and I met up at the BWW in Riverview. Round 1 we went with Feller over Seaver on 3,640 strikeouts for 27/30. Round 2, we were slow on Ian Kennedy 2.3/5...then I changed my answer to the Y$nk$$s for 3.5/5. STATS called Smith on the jockey...so only 20.8/30. Round 3, we were a little slow on Kevin Love 3.8, Australian Grand Prix 2.5, Victoria Azarenka 4, and I missed the others we didn't get right away...38.8/50. Years round we went 86 for 1982, got 3/5 on 2004 and 1990 for a 31/40. Last round, we got one CFL player and only 2 of the 5 famous sports athletes. STATS nailed the ABA teams. 42/60 on the last round for a 159.6. We thought it was a challenging game with some of the questions.
