Not showing in the HOF from last night. Was intending to play, but that pesky fantasy baseball draft dragged on too late.

That's why they make laptops :D I was able to multitask...but there were a couple of questions I had to look at my draft to see how much time I had to pick a player before answering the question.

We have been multi-tasking every other Monday, playing Sports Trivia Challenge and Live Trivia at the same time. Kind of difficult, but not completely impossible. We showed up this past Monday, and the location dropped Buzztime. Not shocking, since it wasn't getting much play at this newer location. No STC probably helped us win almost all the prizes in the live version.

I didn't want to even try the fantasy draft & SIQ at the same time.

Speaking of SIQ, still no HOF listing.

Yep, nothing yet. I'm not exactly getting my hopes up.

On a slightly different note, is anybody else puzzled by Buzztime's claim that Darlene Hard won the 1969 US Open?

Not if one also counts doubles titles. :|

Ah, that clears things up a little Joel, thanks. Now, if I remember correctly the clue simply read "US Open Winner: Darlene Hard." Being given this as the first clue, the decade of the 1960s, and assuming both singles and doubles are in play, this made the possible answer 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1969, with no possible way of knowing which one they wanted. Unless it said "Last US Open title" or something like that. Anybody remember more specifically?

It's been a month now since last post on this topic. Does anyone have any news about when we might expect SIQ to be back on HoF status?

Remember it is more important that those stupid Avatars have glasses. Rather than fixing something that should have been done in the first place.

I sent another message to customer service via the contact us link, pointing out that it is not in the Hall of Fame, despite being back for 5 months and being told 4 months ago that it was being worked on and would be back soon, etc. Here is the response I got:

Quote:
Hello,

We have been experiencing some issues with the stats. The situation will be remedied shortly!

Thank You for your patience,

Buzztime Staff

Isn't that nice?

Just might although probably not every week. Would be 5 PM's solo though.

Yeah, that still sucks in this game. I don't know how Megumi does it weekly and keeps them all close in score, whenever I do it I end up with about 25 points separation from first to fifth.

I'm assuming he just rotates his boxes based on rank. Like you, I always hit my best box first and my fifth box last resulting in some separation. But if you hit your fifth box on back until your scores converge and repeat, you'll get a tight pack.

But for the most part, the only round where this makes a big difference is the spelling round. All the others, assuming you're quick, allow for matching scores on all five PM's fairly easily.

Your assumption may be correct, but why would he bother to do that?
It would not change his bar's average one iota and he would only be hurting his chances of getting the highest possible individual ranking.
I would much prefer two boards with 15K and two boards with 14.5s over four boards with 14.75 each.
It's fun to see one's name on the big board.
It's so shiny...

I've tried to do all five boxes a few times, and that's about the separation I end up with too. I'll only do it at my home bar if it's nearly empty. Otherwise I look like more of a dork than usual.
