I had a great SIQ (for me) finished w/ a solo score of 109 (which anybody who knows me, knows that's a great score for me on SIQ).
But what I really wanted to mention was I COULD have had a better score had BT not screwed up yet ANOTHER premium game. The Pro-Files round had wrong pictures w/ questiuons. Had Jim Boeheim on first question in round for full points, and pic looked nothing like Boeheim, and not knowing what a couple of choices listed were by sight, switched from right answer to wrong answer....also missed Miguel Tejada (which I would have had right (not for full points but more than 0)
Now I don't want to go off on a rant here, but this is now the third or fourth PREMIUM game BT has !@@%#$#&* up in the last 3-4 months. I don't know who's (or what's) controlling the content, but since all these new format changes have rolled out, too many things keep going wrong w/ BT trivia. And I'll tell you something else I got sick and tired of playing all day every day in FLA, got tired of Buzztime Trivia (not the company, although...very close) the game, the one w/ 10 Q's no clues....After playing almost non-stop for 30 days, it got repetitive and boring....got so bad I started playing Texas Hold em, (and I am a HUGE fan of that game...not) My advice to Buzztime: I wouldn't mind seeing Buzztime Trivia scaled back (maybe once every 2 1/2- 3hrs...maybe @ 1pe, 4pe, and then 1 or 2 after the 7pe CD until day-specific games start playing). Interestingly, at night I didn't mind the CD/BT 1/2 hr alternating roster @10pe, probably because after 2-3 hrs of destination games, was like a welcomed friend. Also can CD (and other 1/2 hr games) go back to OLD point tick down format???? You know, the one where you could actually get meaningful points on third clue like 250-275 instead 150-200 (or less)??? (or am I just beating a dead horse) and don't get me started on the clue writing.......
In any case, that's my two cents' worth, I know it strayed a tiny bit off-topic....but....
I also had a great solo game last night -- 128. I think this is my best score ever on SIQ. Usually I'm happy just to get 100 at this. There seemed to be a lot of baseball and hockey questions, which is what I know (sort of.)
Ask me an hour of football, basketball, and boxing, and I probably won't even get 50.
Got the Boeheim question (and the follow-up) for full credit, although the picture did not really help me. Got partial points for Miguel Tejada, out of process of elimination.
My biggest gripe against BT on evenings on Sunday and Monday is that I wish NTN would throw in a Countdown once in a while! After SIQ, there were about eight consecutive BT Trivia games, but the game I needed to advance Card #16 was Countdown. I know: there was a Countdown just before SIQ. I came in late.
But eight consecutive BT Trivia games? That's just plain ridiculous.
