Considering the idea of having a Occupy Louisville event for the weekend of Thursday May 30th to Sunday June 3rd. The plans would be to visit all trivia bars in the Kentuckiana area and take over the high scores for the month of June in one weekend. Optional side visits to Churchill Downs for horsing around, a weekend AAA baseball series between the Louisville Bats and the Durham Bulls, Indiana casinos, visit the Muhammud Ali center, Louisville Slugger museum, etc, etc, etc. Please vote if you might be interested in attending such an event, and if there is enough interest, I will start organizing it. Hopefully Buzztime will have the bugs worked out of their new system by then. Vodka gummie bears will be provided.

I'm just up the road in Cincy so I'd definitely be interested.

The dates are a weekend too early for me. School isn't out yet.

I'd come home for that, but I probably wouldn't ride all around town in search of local leaderboard glory.

Looks like Louisville site count is 13, somewhat less than the glory days, but still a lot of riding around.

I'd probably rent a room stumbling distance from one of the sites and play. Could probably visit another site another day.

Maybe go to a different site during the day and night.

Like walking across the parking lot from Old Chicago to BWW Stoneybrooke

I'm only 75minutes away. I could surely make it down there and even act as "guide" for anyone venturing to the Indiana side.

I am already planning for Triviapalooza V. I took time off two weeks b4 so I can't get time off for this one.

I might be able to come. Promised Scar years ago that I'd make it to Louisville.

Good Lord willing, count me in.

Sounds like fun to me. I'll do my best to be there with you and the rest of the guys. I'm pretty sure my buddy, David, will be there too. However, that's a little far out for me to make any definite promise. Keep me posted as to the details.

Due to the number of snow days built into the calendar and the lack of snow this year, it may be possible that the school year ends in time for me to attend. Thus, I'm now a maybe...as long as there is a hotel in crawling distance to the main site.

TIEFLY, don't worry about your hotel being within crawling distance, if I'm not out of town, my buddy, Dave, and I will pick you up and chauffeur you around town and back to where you are staying. You are a trivia legend, and if Dave and I can't drive you from bar to bar, I am sure that others will be more than happy to have the honor of having you riding with them. Get a cheap hotel.

p.s. Dave qualifies as a designated driver.

YODA, I think May 30th is on a Wednesday this year. Near the end of the month is not the best time to try to take over all of the bars' highest monthly scores with FSHMAN having already put perfect scores on most of them. The beginning of the month is the best time to try to do this, and June 1st comes on a Friday.

Correct. I meant to say May 31st, not May 30th. When did they add a day to May?

I figured people would show up at different times, some Thursday evening, some Friday morning, some Friday afternoon. I put Thursday evening May *3*1* on there in case someone came from out of town late, and wanted to get a game or two in before crashing for the night.

I appreciate the offer, although some say I'm not all the way car-broken yet. Hoping things with the school calendar workout.

I'm not aware of a hotel that is close to a trivia bar in Louisville, but hopefully Dante/Scar/Cloudy/Cards/??? can help me figure one out. Regardless, I can drive several people, and there will be other DD's that weekend, so if this goes through, best to find an inexpensive hotel of your choice.

Nina said she stayed at the Courtyard in Springhurst and the new Old Chicago was within walking distance. I just mapquested it and is says 4 tenths of a mile.

There is a Residence Inn in the same general direction 3 tenths of a mile.

And it is right off I-265 for ease of guests.

Scar,
You are correct. Those would be the best choices. Extra large BW3 at Springhurst and the trivia place of choice these days is across the street at Old Chicago. Tis sad about the trivia sites in Louisville. I hear another one will bite the dust soon. Oh well, things might turn around one of these days. :P

Unless someone in Louisville is willing to help, I'll probably cancel for this attempt. I have to work that Friday, but would be able to do anything Thursday/Friday evening, and all day Saturday and Sunday
