The Surgeon General has issued a Botfly Hatch warning for eastern Tennessee from March 30-April 1st, including BT sites in Kingsport & Johnson City. This particular strain is DDT resistant, but can be subdued with unhealthy doses of alcohol. A pharmacological approach may also prove effective if you should find yourself in the contaminated area. |
