Post subject:  September Solo Shootout Sunday Sept 9 5-8pm Eastern time.
About time for another of these. Buzztime's new schedule will force us into a 5pm-8pm Eastern 2-5pm Pacific Saturday session. I have no real preference which Saturday so majority rules I guess - just post your pick if you want to play

Usual Rules:

Go somewhere where you can minimize hearing shared answers - and obviously seek/provide none

One handle - nominated in advance (post or PM) that holds throughout the session

All games count to final tally - highest total wins.

I'll scrape, chart and post results within a couple of days of the event.

Bugger. Well I doubt two hours gives enough games to get a decent sample, and that's all the damn silly game leaves us. Sunday? Or does everybody interested know a place that does/will program it out?

Playing on Saturdays was always a hit or miss for me because of work so Sundays would work for me.
It's starting to look like any player driven contests of this sort are being herded to Sundays due to wonderful BT programming decisions.
It would be funny if players could drive up the player numbers to their highest totals on a day that BT chooses not to air a premium game. But, then again, I'm easily amused... :mrgreen:

We can do 3-4 hrs from the first countdown of the PST zone at 2p PST/5p EST to 5-6p PST/8-9p EST on Sunday....So either the 9th or 23rd will work out for me.

I always like to play in these and would do so if its the 9th. Can't if it's the 23rd. (Mind you, the reason I can't is that I'll be playing cards and drinking beer for three weeks in Europe, so I won't be tooo upset if the 23rd is better for everyone else.)

Here's another vote for Sunday. I, too, have to perform that four-letter activity on Saturdays. Either the 9th or the 23rd would work for me, and I would most likely play at The Beer Haus in Akron to avoid the Browns crowds at either Wing Warehouse in Northfield or StringZ.

Name the date, and I'll give it a shot. BIGDOG looks forward to keeping an iron grip on DFL.

FWIW, I would play on 9/9, and I could probably (maybe) recruit JOHNNY and JOHNL as solo players for the day. Any other Sunday doesn't work for me, as I am a NASCAR fan, as I'm sure you could have assumed from your last visit.

By the way, we miss your British humor from your last visit. Can't believe we're still playing Yaketty Sax on the juke box here! You have gravitas, sir!

Voting for 9/23 here ... is the time frame 5-8 PM ET?

Additional handicap here if it's 5-8 ... after the Browns game, if I bother to watch it, as that team haas promise, but its penalties and play calling are very difficult to watch while sober. or at all. Advantage: Wherever I go to play (most likely Beer Haus), pissed-off Browns fans will be gone to kick their dogs down the stairs.

Over-under on Pat Shurmur getting fired? Nine games in.

Odds on me making Solofest 9/23? Close to 100 percent. Odds of me making 9/9? Around 50 percent.

Let me check my schedule...oh, I don't have a schedule.

Although 8:00 pm on a Sunday is late for me and I may have to remember to program out the 5th repeat of the SI sports game (need to check THAT schedule), I'm sure I'll be able to participate to my usual sub-par standards.

OK with so many competing preferences I resorted to a random number generator and 9/9 won out so if it's my/Excel's call let's go with that one. If you can confirm your ability to play 5-8 Sunday 9/9 to me I'll start setting up the list.

BWW players - remember to kill the stupid 3rd repeat of the BWW only game in that slot.
