Microbrew aficionados, I have some yummies coming down from my region on Thursday, including Old 21 from the Brew Kettle, Old Leghumper from Thirsty Dog (of course), Commodore Perry IPA from Great Lakes and others. Also for Gogetem who decried the lack of good Mexican food in Ohio (not too many native chefs here), a few corned beef sandwiches from Slyman's in Cleveland. We don't have many Mexicans here, but we boast plenty of Irish and Jews. None better in the world! He can have half of one. The sandwiches are $12 each, and you have corned beef the size of a softball between the slices. The other 2-1/2 are MINE! Just a reminder .... West Park Station will be gunning for us on Thursday night. May the best team win! |

It doesn't get better than Blackout Stout or a nice Thirsty Dog Siberian Night. Both tasty. Have not sampled anything from the brew kettle before though. I work in Strongsville and hear about it all the time tho. I'm sure some other various GLBC beers will make their way down, including some Christmas Ale I was saving  I'll see you guys early Friday afternoon!Cheers, --Tony |

Report from Wednesday night. We did have a small but mighty group. Although we did not win SciFiles, Six last night was great. Bargos number one on east feed in Six and Pastimes. It was nice being a lady and knowing the Sports question in final six. The Brakeman is the last man in a Bobsled. I need to pay more attention in the Olympic coverage next year. Hopefully the curling teams will have great outfits again. Tiffy |

It kind of sucks now that Danny K's is on the west feed and we can't go head-to-head with them all weekend long. Hopefully LILJOL will get together with a group and give us a run for the few hours that we overlap. My apologies. No Slyman's. Logistics were too much to keep it in its intended form from the near east side of Cleveland to the 'natti, and I also slept in. If I were to make a Slyman's run right now, it would add at least 1:30 to my ETA, plus the time I spent waiting in line. Slyman's has lines out the door for to-go orders daily. Not the best idea under an ozone warning with 90+ degree heat. Whenever anyone is in Cleveland and wants corned beef writers nationwide have raved about, stop by 3106 St. Clair Avenue. They open at 6am and close at 2pm. Again, my bad. I slept in. I wanted to hit it early before rush hour, but I won't mess with downtown Cleveland right now. I should be at Bargo's around 4 or so. |

Nice scores last night. We saw Bargos just above or just below us for most of the night. There was 1 CD game where TANAKA was 1 above OC BUD in 4th & 5th place in the East. Hope you are having a good time, too bad OPIEE & I can't make these July Paloozas. |
