Post subject:  Triviapalooza 6.0 Memories

I thought I would start a thread of some interesting memories of the weekend.

1. Getting a phone call from a local bar in town (Buffalo Wild Wings - Kenwood) congratulating us. To add an additional side bar to this... On Saturday, Big Dog from Cleveland, Pengwin and myself took a side trip to the East Side, stopping at By Golly's (we did make the board there as many saw), Mt. Carmel Brewing Company (yummy stout and great atmosphere) and the new Jungle Jims on the east side. Pengwin was rocking the Palooza shirt. We ran into a gentleman who plays at the BWW in Kenwood. He had no idea how "serious" we were at trivia.

2. Four for Four on the big games (Six Wednesday, Six Thursday, Spotlight and Playback)

3. The awesome music from Cheese

4. Long Island Iced Tea - enough said

5. Seeing old friends and making new

6. The interesting t-shirts (See Intellectual Badass). I love it

7. Two funny movies in their own right - Reefer Madness and Blazing Saddles anyone.
I hope more of you will add some great memories to this list.

1. A great roomie.
.
2. Great people who joined us in the party suite.

3. The "extended family" I met from all over North America who come together for our pastime. which some are too average to understand; much less understand why we enjoy it.

4. Who says there's nothing on TV? MacBook Pro streamed all sorts of good stuff to the big screen in the party suite, from Breaking Bad to Blazing Saddles!

5. Coming back with more beer than I arrived with, thanks to several great additions to Big Blue. I'm enjoying a
Christian Moerlein right now.

6. Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Having a pint on their porch felt like going to a wealthy friend's home who put old furniture out for guests. The wealth factor of their craftsmanship is unparalleled.

EXTRA POINT: Thanks to Cheese for putting what may be the final Triviapalooza together. I'll miss Bargo's and their great staff, including but not excluding others on their great team, Mindy, their fantastic daytime bartender, who recognized me the second I walked into the premises.

We ARE the "Intellectual badasses," and we need to give props to those who have supported us over the years, including the staff at Bargo's. Thanks again to CHEESE, and to the LaQuinta staff across the lot who had Party Suite cooled to 60 degrees on my arrival on a 100-degree day.

I'll miss Bargo's and our stumbling-distance hotel, but I know the only constant is change.

May we intellectual badasses stay in touch and enjoy our fellowship as long as we breathe!

Didn't win Spotlight, Old Town Tavern did.

True, give credit where it is deserved. Old Town Tavern ended up putting a better score up on the west coast feed. I know that FOOSE and company are legit and deserve kudos for their game.

Nice pics Mitch...glad someone got some evidence for the rest of us to see.

Tiefly mentioned a BT rep being there? Any BT news or info coming out of this guy?

Hope to see you all in Maryland next year!

He is the area rep for the Chicago area. He does seem to understand the situation and agrees with us on many issues. He said that he will try, but good luck as he will need it.
