I will be there in the evenings and Saturday. Somehow, I managed to schedule a housesitting gig in the middle of Palooza - what was I thinking...

I could have my arm twisted to make a Jungle's run again.

I've started planning my voyage in. GIMPY's teaching summer school all July, thus I'm definitely on my own this year, and probably going to bus in and fly out

Which raises a question in my mind: which Showdown team could I anchor (i.e. drag down) on the 14th, en route to Cincinnati?
Pacific time and Gulf states are probably too far, but I could darken just about any other doorway in the continental US. If you want me to show up - or stay the hell away - now's the chance to speak up

"Several players form New Smyrna Beach, FL are making the trip to Bargo's this year. Including myself SIKO (Steve), there will be STRSHP (Charlie), TONI, NAN, DUMBAS (Ernie), KANDE (Kim), WARHUT (Frank), and MHNOLE (Mary). There may be a few more. We are still working on the mighty CHICAU. He is reluctant to leave his bar stool, though he has relocated it from Peanuts to the Surf Bar. Another 900 miles or so and he will be there."

Plus MSJANE!

I would be interested in sharing the cost of a room, I am trying to work out the details if this trip is doable for me. I am on vacation that week and always been intrigued with Triviapalooza. I would be coming from CT and am thinking of driving out to check out the countryside, so i would like to keep expenses down :D

Well, hell. Something tells me that he has as good a chance of getting there as me.

Believe the Baahston crew will include : SAKIC, BEACHY, BADGER, and perhaps SAKIC's lawyer, MEEE. Also will be a bash in some capacity, as we have convinced Wally (SMARTR) he needs to attend. Strong possiblity he spends a good amount of time being verbally bashed trying to defend Tom Brady's honor...

Glad I found this site when I did. Pending anything catastrophic, I should be able to make the 30 minute drive, at least on Saturday and hopefully Friday. If we can get a sitter will try to convince the wife to come and make a weekend of it or get a hall pass for Friday and Saturday.

I take it this is a show up whenever type of thing, no set times on the various days.

That's correct. There is an unoffical vomiting schedule, though.

34 days until Palooza - it is not getting here soon enough.

The question is how many times will the luggage cart be rolled across the parking lot...

Just curious...Is there a rate block of rooms set aside for this at LQ and if so, what is the group under?

BRUTUS and SYD from BWW-Sugarcreek will be there Friday afternoon sometime through Sunday morning.

Looking forward to put faces to all the names and make some new friends.

Your best bet to find out the rate is to contact Patti (gmebrk) through private message on here.

I will be doing a 25 minute commute this year (housesitting in the middle of Palooza... it happens)

You know, the regular rate is quite reasonable. We went ahead and bought in. Check the website and see if you can stomach the number.

OKAY! Cheese worked out a block of 20 rooms at La Quinta! $71-76.50. Please call the hotel directly @ 513.671.2300. I am not sure how that works if you have already booked but contact the hotel directly. ONE MONTH AND COUNTING!!!

28 Days and Counting.

It now seems that the powers that be have decided I could work half days during Palooza (I guess making sad puppy dog eyes does work from time to time). Looking forward to seeing everyone again !!!

Looking forward to the games again.

If anybody is driving through Hillbillyville (WV), I'll pay for gas if someone will pick me up.

I have a tendency to sleep through metro areas and keep my eyes closed going through tunnels and over large bridges. This makes it a little difficult for me to drive, as you can imagine.

I can drive to a meeting point, if necessary, somewhere convenient in WV.

Any help would be aprreciated.

I can't offer a ride this year, but Mitch's withdrawal means you'll have hotel space Thursday-Friday-Saturday
