Have you played at the new site Dave? Grapevine is suggesting that the new site is MUCH different from the old locale.

If one of the differences was increased air conditioning and/or a less aromatic men's room, I might be tempted to drive northward

Yes, so I hear. If I happen to be home in Louisville that weekend I would probably head on up.

Won't know for a few months though.

Jax Tavern? Is the new Bargos that bad? Did they raise the prices or something? I see many of the regulars have switched over to Jax.

So what are the good things about Jax Tavern? Their website is of no help.

My understanding is that the new Bargos is packing them in, and crowding is a concern. Also, the hotel situation is better.

It is not that the new Bargos is "bad", I just feel that the layout is not conducive to everyday trivia play, much less for TP (It was not my call to move the location, but I am happy with it). Jax management/ownership has expressed great appreciation in us playing there and is bending over backwards to make sure we are happy with their service. Regarding TP specifically, Jax is willing to work with us in a way that Bargos isn't.

More details will follow as we finalize some stuff, but I am thrilled with my new location and now looking forward to TP.

Quality Inn, 11967 Chase Plaza Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45240 ...about a block away...Not sure on discounted rooms under the event
