Sorry, but it remains most unlikely that this lil old grump will ever drag his poor tired lil ass to any of these gatherings. Location is the biggest issue, but from what I've seen and heard there are also a few other attendees that I want lil if anything with which to do.

Dallas? You'll lose the entire East Coast and most of the Midwest. IMO, not a good idea. A return to Baltimore would be much better. |

Hi all. OK, so.... Triviapalooza teXas... Thursday, July 20th through Sunday, July 23rd. Location: Boomerjack's in Arlington, TX. (Lincoln Square one, not the Arlington Highlands one) Hotels nearby (approx. 1/2 mile away): Days Inn, Comfort Suites, Courtyard by Marroitt, and Holiday Inn (shows as booked up full for the dates, but you might get lucky). I am working on getting blocks of rooms for discounted rates, will keep you all updated. Drink specials: Working on that as well. Food: http://boomerjacks.com/boomerjacks-menu/ Things to do: 1. AT&T Stadium is right down the street. 2. Texas Rangers are home that weekend 3. Dallas 4. Fort Worth 5. Rodeos 6. Honky Tonks 7. Other items to be added. Nearest Airport: DFW. Dallas Love Field is relatively close as well. Restaurants everywhere in that area, with many different types of cuisine, including a Pappadeaux's so Tiefly and I can keep our annual date. Hi everyone. I've managed to work out a discounted rate with Comfort Suites located approx 1/2 mile from Boomerjacks. Published rate for a King is 189; 2 queens is 209. I have a block of 25 rooms reserved at a rate of 99 per night, plus tax. Comes to 118.72 total per night. I'm waiting for the link from the GM of the hotel; once I get it, I'll send it to you so you'll have the discount code. I am highly recommending this hotel over the Days Inn, because the Days Inn, while directly across the street from AT&T Stadium, and is also a 1/2 mile from Boomerjacks, to call it "sketchy" is being generous. (EDITED) - Couple of items I forgot. 1. The hotel has offered to provide shuttle service to and from Boomerjacks 2. The discounted rate is only available until 6/20/2017, so book early. Please book as soon as you can, if we fill up the 25, we can get more rooms added to the block. Any questions, let me know. |

I was looking at the 2016 schedule when I was researching that. The Rangers are definitely out of town that weekend. But, as I said on FB, that helps me with better hotel rates

Hi All. OK, a Triviapalooza update... BUZZTIME - Talked to Tiffany at BT HQ today. She took down the number of people and how many boxes we would need; is going to reach out to Boomerjacks to coordinate the delivery of the boxes. BOOMERJACKS - Stopped in today, the GM, Nate, is out on vacation this week, but will be back next week. I will stop in next week to coordinate logistics with him (player location in the bar area, drink specials, where to put the extra boxes, food specials, beer specials, where to put the DJ equipment, beer specials, drink specials, can I do karaoke on Sat?, usual bail amounts, beer specials). COMFORT SUITES - Stopped in today, only 3 hotel rooms have been booked there out of 25. If you want the rate of $99 per night, you need to book it before 6/20/17 in order to get that rate, and that's only 60 days away, so... Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!
