The resemblance between Buzztime and cockfighting would be even stronger if the birds in cockfighting were unsupervised and free range.

GONE D, you should see just how unsupervised and free-range we are at Triviapalooza.

I was trying to explain the Buzztime community and Triviapalooza to a guy who occasionally joins us for Jeopardy! at the bar.

“I had no idea this existed. And it’s all across America?”

“And Canada.”

“And you know trivia people from outside Chicago. So there’s, like, this trivia underground?”

“Uh, well, yeah, kinda.”

“Like cockfighting?”

Priceless

Looking at Ben's Pourhouse gameplay history this morning...

It's funny to see that Spotlight had only four plays in the last 6 months with 1-3 p+ players for each of those plays.

Then last night it has 47 p+ players

Since the top Spotlight location put up a monster score, we might excuse you for falling short of the top spot. But getting edged out for 2nd, even by a strong Illinois team, you got some 'splaining to do :P ;)

Just another night at the bar in 'strong Illinois'.

Good job! We got stomped in that game even though we had a Walsh’s ringer.

We went 28-9 on Thursday, 28-9 on Friday, 19-17 on Saturday (karaoke night) and right now we’re 8-1. Notably, JETS didn’t show up today. Just sayin’ ...

Yeah, Wednesday night is our only automatic play night these days. Life gets in the way...

It's called lag. Plus some brand new boards from Buzztime that kept randomly freezing up  Perhaps if you attended a 'Paahlozza one these years, you might be able to experience the lag "fun" in person!

Oh, that explains it.

No other possible reason.

Well, that and a couple of wretched teeny-bop questions in the Get A Clue round where nobody in the room Got One.

(I think you had to be over 40 to get in Friday night :D )

I can certainly attest to the lag factor when over 50 boxes are in use. Bonzo and I did some informal experimentation thought it would now be obsolete with the new PMs.

I was surprised with the lag and board issues we had this year. I didn't make Texas last year so not sure how that went but when we first had the tablets at Jax 2 years ago, it seemed the lag and freezing issues were largely non-existent, definitely not compared to this year with the boards freezing mid-question.

I didn't notice that last year either. Boxes dying was the big issue.
