I've been a little busy the last few weeks. I'll try to update this and answer a few questions next week.

I have to laugh at the "Dive bar" comment a little bit, I just don't think that fits in this case... you should hang with me on a regular basis, I'll show you some authentic dive bars. Not sure of the experience you had, but I've never had any problem with the staff on any of my visits and I would rather have the event at a non-corporate joint that is a well known trivia bar than a BDubs this year. TR has also offered to host anyone that would like to visit the Blue Goose while they're in town. I've never been there myself, but it is fairly close.

Anyone from outside of the area should really check out Jungle Jim's while they're here. It is a hard to describe grocery store that has everything you could ever imagine and the best restrooms in the country!

CHEESE is handling most of the details down there and money raised will go to the athletic program at his school (Winton Woods, I believe). We've been bouncing some ideas off each other and I think we have a few good ones.

The hotel is as close as possible, without being in the same building. The La Quinta shares the parking lot with Bargo's.

Crikey!
Both STEVE and JETS wearing shirts from the Jackson Pollack collection again...?
My canals of Schlemm still haven't recovered from last time.
Cool! I've always wanted to work "canals of Schlemm" into a conversation. :D

Besides, those two act silly when they're together. And one thing I cannot abide is silliness. So, stop it! :P

The sole New England representative from last (and most likely this) year, has just booked his flight... let the countdown begin. ;)

Bargo's is not a Bdubs... so I guess the real question is when can we expect LEWSER to appear.

Good point, but if LEWSER shows up it is automatically upgraded from a paloozamathinga to a bash!

FWIW, Comic-Con 2010 is scheduled for July 22-25, for possibly the second to last time at The San Diego Convention Center.

Hey FOLKS!

CHEESE has worked the pricing for the La Quinta http://www.lq.com/lq//properties/propertyProfile.do?ident=LQ1027&propId=1027. I am not sure if you can book the rooms ONLINE at the below rates , but just call them and say that it is for Bargos Trivia. 20 rooms have been blocked for each night, but I have been assured it will be no problem to add more.

The rates are as follows;

Thursday (7/23): $39, Friday (7/24): $47, and Saturday(7/25): $52. These have additional taxes of AROUND $6 and all I do know is if you book all three nights the total is $160.56. We are double checking on the days prior to and following those dates and I will let you know.

I plan on making name tags again! I have the avatars from the last HH I made them, but if you have a picture you want just send it to me at psummerlin@gmail.com (feel free to email with any questions) and I will incorporate it.

I can't wait to see everyone and take care!

Hey Patti,
Thought I'd save you a little effort and let you know that I'll be bringing mine from two years ago.
I always try to keep all possibly incriminating evidence handy... :D
