What are the "normal rules" and where are the details posted?

1st Rule: Don't talk about Solo Tourney.

Class Dismissed, you now have your homework assignments.

Welcome to Project Mayhem.

I don't see the information. Can you at least post the times, to remind us?

Thanks.

To get everyone to play the same games, the tourney has usually started at 4:00 eastern time and finishes at 7:00 eastern.

I know that we once started at 4:30 eastern and finished at 7:30, to get in an extra Countdown game (which I like better).

Just to be safe, I'll try and play from 4-7:30. I have free tickets to a BrewFest...gotta figure out which is more important...EGADS!!!

I think the last 3 or 4 times it has been from 4:30-7:30 ET.

Also, the other rule is no getting help, either electronically or from other people.

As far as I can remember, that's about it.

The previous post sums it up, play solo without any type of help.

I see that I haven't officially joined yet. I'm in! I'll be playing at BWW Onalaska, Wis.

I'll play from 4:00 to 7:30 EDT to be safe, since we don't seem to have official hours yet.

My preference would be 4:30 to 7:30.

Hmm. Maybe I should have played from 4 to 7:30. I'd assumed 4 to 7 as I'd remembered. I hadn't noticed that the game schedule had changed to remove the back-to-back Countdown games during that period. Six BTs and three (or four) CDs aren't as much fun as the old way.

IIRC, PinkPig was setting up a tourney and set up a schedule with more Countdowns and less Buzztimes to lure me into it.

Of course, we still don't know what the official schedule was for this one.

I outperformed my averages for the most part on Saturday. Looking at my stats (since I drink to forget), I managed a few Top 100 scores, despite getting anxious about the Pens' hockey game.

Saw lots of good scores from folks who posted in this thread. Good job, y'all.

And FWIW, I have played with ERIC various times and he can put up good scores, but I can't vouch for a person when I'm not around to see them play. That said, I have no reason to doubt him.

I think it is a nonissue. We are all on the honor system to play solo, with no aids.

I have no reason to doubt Eric's integrity.

Does anyone know if something happened to the Dayton who was organizing this? Or, for that matter, who he or she is and where? Dayton's last posting here was April 5, although it promised more the next day. Although there are 27 players registered with the handle Dayton, few are active, and, as far as I can tell, none played on April 17. The most likely one is "jptrevor" of California, but he or she has not played Countdown since April 16. Let's hope that it is just a case of forgetfulness rather than something more serious.

Hopefully nobody - especially Dayton - will find me presumptuous in volunteering to scrape and collect the numbers after a few days without update. I hope he's OK and just busy.

So here goes....

Overall very close indeed with <700pts out of 87000 or so separating the top FOUR finishers!

SPOTES as might be expected for the only true tier 1 entrant took the gold but was chased quite respectably by second tier talent in BUBBA, TIEFLY and RHINO.

Individual game wins were very widely spread with only SPOTES and ERIC getting two and four others grabbing one each.

NOTES: Cavman and Dayton did not seem to play. The blue text is an average score substituted for Tommyk as he appeared to mix up the timing. If I missed anyone or made errors just let me know.

That 14.1 in the last CD by BUBBA was more impressive than anything I managed to scrape together on Saturday, that's for sure.

By God I'm possibly the worst WAGger on the entire planet! :(
If I can ever manage to lucky guess my way through a few BT game 50/50 calls here and there, someone around here's in trouble... :D

Thanks for doing the leg work Afe.
Nice work everyone.

Thanks Rhino.

Don't know what happened to Dayton.

Cavman announced elsewhere that he is mortally ill. :(

Thanks to Dave for crunching the numbers.

I was right at my CD average, but managed to guess my way to a higher BT average. Must not have been any car, Woody Allen, or reality TV questions.

I'd have helped with the Woody Allen questions, Tie!
