New Scaratings :: View topic - Raceday schedule

I got a PM from Jasen that there will be Raceday this year. Unfortunately it will be on the sports channel. Since I erased all myh previous PMs on the website I can't compose a new PM to Jasen to ask about the schedule, but I'll lurk around and post it here as soon as I see it, unless one of you beats me to it! I really thought channel C would be done by now, what a flop. Anywhoo, I know Cavman is a fan, maybe a few more will gravitate here and we can have some fun watching racing. Especially since they are going to let it be a little more exciting this year.

As for BT's Raceday...assuming you can do the predictions directly on the playmakers (as you could last year, and other years in the past), the trick now will be finding a site willing to turn on "Channel C". Around here, that's not an easy task.

Yeah, that's for sure. I figured out the manager's code, and feel bad doing it without permission, but can in a pinch and especially if no one notices.

Raceday is doomed until it goes back to the trivia channel

Well it looks like week 1 of Raceday went off without hitting any potholes. Can't say the same for the race.

Cold Beer was #1, LEWSER & SPOTES visiting MO for the Sports Trivia contest were #2, Hardtimes was #3 and IMHERE and co. in AZ took 4th.

Just like last year very few bars got in predictions and played the trivia part.
I'd say about 16 bars. The list says 200 some bars, but many only had predictions put in on the boxes.

Thanks again for the tip Bud. Doing it the way you suggested worked...so we'll just do it that way from now on. Hopefully next week will be better...lol.

Hardtimes MD fell to 3rd. (we only had 2 players, OPIEE and myself)
The Clubhouse in VA took 4th, Good one Deathdealer
Cherrys in FL overcame the technical issues of last week to grab 5th

Saw MRBURNS, BUG, JMANN and some others in there.

The top 4 for the Raceday Trivia part were:
1. ?
2. STU
3. BUG
4. OPIEE

You get to choose the most improved, which you can't know until after qualifications. Plus some other drivers have to qualify to even get into the race, so for example a Boris Said may not make the race but is a good bet for a top 10 at a road course. Can't put him in until after qualifying.

Well Joe, you know where you can come on the 14th for the Daytona 500. We'll have channel C on for sure, the poker players will have their shit ass game turned off that's for sure. I'll give them a deck of cards and they'll like it or they can go elsewhere. Come on over.

Rest assured BUD I'll be at HT on the 14th for Daytona. The fact that the 15th is a holiday just seals the deal. Besides, I have to get NOLES and ANGEL back up on the local top 10 p+ list.

I predicted it to be gone by the end of January, about as good as my prediction for Daytona! I like Raceday, I hope it stays but the Sports channel goes until BT can support three channels at once. Really, what a terrible idea, it's gotta be one of the worst.

Only way RaceDay gonna be be back in Channel A if takes up the whole hour (both predictions and NASCAR trivia) and not show the last 2 countdown questions at the end.

That's weird. Cherrys was second in the nation in the trivia portion, and Buzztime is not showing any scores for Raceday. Will have to check with Buzztime to see if it's reporting channel C. This is a strange one UCFHCY. Cherrys does have an up to date reporting date showing. Your stats do show the great raceday trivia score. So Cherrys was connected. But somehow the predictions never went through to BT. Did you do them on the playmaker ahead of time or during the prediction show? If you do them on the playmaker before the prediction show and then have the prediction show on the picks will get reset to zero and nothing will get sent to BT. Also it could have been too late when the predictions were made? At Hardtimes we do the picks on the playmaker and don't turn on the sports channel till the trivia part of raceday. Then go right back to regular trivia for the rest of the day. If a bar doesn't have any predictions then they are not entered in the Raceday rankings even if they played the trivia part as Cherrys did. Good luck next week.

Thanks for the response Bud. Yes...we did the predictions during the prediction show part of trivia. A couple of players might have missed a driver or two when predicting the top 10...but everyone answered the remaining questions. So you think we should try doing the picks on the playmaker and not turning the Cards network to the Sports Trivia network until the RaceDay trivia starts? Thanks for the well wishes...same to you! P.S. I'm communicating with KK about the issue too. She noticed the score history for the bar for that game...just not in the RaceDay history score

Yeah I would do the picks on the playmaker and get them all in before 3:00. Then we'll put sports on the cards channel at 3:30. That way we'll get a 1/2 sports trivia game followed by raceday trivia. Just don't have the prediction show on if you already did your picks on the playmaker. Good luck.

I was about to swear off the season after that game. Maybe I'll check my rank and try for a comeback?
