The family and I will be spending a couple days in Portland before heading to Hawaii at the end of the month.
I doubt my wife will let me play in Hawaii ;) I was hoping to avoid a three week Showdown withdrawal, either playing at The Old Barn or McGillacuddy's.
Does anybody from either of those bars frequent this forum?

Well, hell. Don't think so. :(

FWIW, The Old Barn continues to survive as the longest established wetware team in The Rose City, going back to the now gone Cattle Company, Beaverton. McGillacuddy's has a long standing reputation as borg.

Thanks, LILJOL. I had forgotten that McGillacuddy's was a borg bar.
That pretty much settles it. I'll either make the drive to the Old Barn or go to the godforsaken Buffalo Wild Wings by the airport.

I did too, but last time we went without the kids. I don't think this vacation will be as laid back as the last one :o
Which is too bad, I could probably save hundreds of dollars by playing trivia as opposed to whatever we'll be doing instead.

Yep.
When I'm looking to pinch pennies it's straight off to Hawaii for me every time...

Hmmmm..... SPOTES in a banana hammock beached on the sand.

Think I'll pass on that and am proceeding to gouge out my brain.

Did you play here? http://www.buzztime.com/site/34154
This looks to be my only option while I am in Kona. I think I will live vicariously through BLZBUB's recaps :(

The only place the I played that is still open is The Shack Kailua on Oahu. They weren't reporting out the one day I made it there at the local lunch time.
