Finding myself in Indianapolis for a few days, I made a point of visiting the 86th Street Pub a couple of times. SPOTES was an extremely gracious host, coming out to play on nights and games he usually skips and generally allowing me to dangle off his coat-tails. Alas, this was often to his detriment--for example, I was another one of those people who remembered T3 as a bone in the Pyramid Round of Showdown, pulling him off hormone--but he accepted my general bone-headedness with great magnanimity.

With SPOTES adeptly playing four boxes and me struggling to play two, the two of us still managed to snag 86th Street an 8th-place finish in BrainBuster (narrowly beating out The Fellowship--sorry gang), another 8th in SIX, a 3rd in Lexitopia, and a 2nd Pastimes. Imagine how well he might have done had he not been handicapped with my presence.

In any case, I just wanted to thank SPOTES for making my visit to Indy pleasant and fun. I only wish I had been able to play a bit more.

You're welcome anytime, ANON.
BTW, there is nothing "bone-headed" whatsoever about calling out a correct answer.
Writing a question with two correct choices, however....
At least it keeps with my tradition of getting this kind of effort from BT whenever I make the rare effort to play a premium game. What on earth did I ever do to those folks out there? Do you suspect they're holding a few thousand references to NTN monkeys against me...?
I'm glad you had a good time despite my lack of plant knowledge.
Unfortunately, I'm only familiar with the tasty ones. Maybe next time.

And yes, we do still have the blue boxes, trivia gods be praised...
