CLOUDY is headed back to Upstate New York this coming Thursday. I'll be up there for about two weeks, and will probably get over to Carmella's outside of Utica to play trivia a couple of times. As unlikely as it is that any of you will be in the area at the same time, if you might happend to be in the neighborhood, send me a private message, and maybe we can hook up.

I'm headed back to Upstate New York again...

I leave Louisville on November 20th and head back to the Bluegrass on December 4th. I will be in the Utica/Rome area again, where there is only one place to play Buzztime Trivia, but could meet up with any of you, who might be in the Syracuse area. Though I doubt any of you will be up there, if by some strange chance that you will be, please let me know, so we can hook up.

In the morning I'm getting on a jet plane, and flying back up to Rome, NY. I doubt that any of you will be able to join me at Carmella's in New Hartford, NY, but look for us on the national leader board. I suspect that we will show up in the top 20 a time or two over the next two weeks.

Saw you today on the 3:00 P M Countdown leaderboard. You beat me by about 100 points, but I missed the leaderboard.

Convince my lady friend that we should make the trip, and we might actually show up someday. I'll need to get her okay before I give you her e-mail address. She's not a registered "ScaRatings" member, but she loves Buzztime Trivia, and loves to travel. :D

p.s. Ironically, my lady friend asked me this afternoon, if I would like to visit Canada with her, so maybe there's a chance that we might get together some day. :)

Ranger, I think I remember that game. My lady friend and I were the only two people playing trivia at Carmella's. I had three boxes and she was playing two. I actually knew some of the answers, had lucky guesses on a couple, and my lady friend came up with some great answers that I never would have known. The nice thing was I showed up as #10 and Megumi was only #19 on that game. (He must have had to go to the bathroom in the middle of one of the rounds.)

Don't worry, I'll be playing a few more games, while I'm up here, and I'm sure you will kick my butt. :D I'll be looking for you, and expect to see you up there. Good luck...

If you promise to show up to Triviapalooza, I'll make sure I go, too. Something else will have to get cut from this year's vacation plans

When and where is Triviapalooza going to be? My life has become a little complicated these days, but if I can work it out, I'll be there.

p.s. Sorry for taking so long to reply to you. Please forgive me.

PERFECT TIMING. My summer vacation isn't until July 26, so I can probably make that road trip. And even hog-tie Cloudy to the hood of my car and drag his butt up there with me

This could be the 2nd time and once to West (by God) Virginia. We had a great time on both occasions. If I make it, there will be no 'we' this time.

That's true. I still have that article somewhere. Certain others declined to be interviewed, as I recall.

Sorry, for being late responding to the newspaper article you gave us the link to. What a great article...!

Sadly, there was once a time very long ago, when Friday's in Louisville might have been in your league. However, those days are long gone, as is Friday's.

I leave for Upstate New York tomorrow morning at 8:05 am. I'll be there through June 3rd. I am greatly concerned that Carmella's in New Hartford is getting ready to drop trivia. Friends have e-mailed me that the last time they went there, the manager told them, that if they wanted to play trivia, they would have to sit at the bar, because they would no longer put it on any of the other TV's in their restaurant. The reason they were given for this is difficult to understand. The manager's explanation was that it was costing too much, and not enough people were playing it. Anyway, in a few days I will find out what is going on.

(Belated edit: I believe that Carmella's will keep Buzztime trivia through at least the end of the year.)

I'm heading back to Upstate New York again this coming Tuesday. I'll be there for about a month. If anyone would like to join me up there, please let me know. I think Helene and I can show you a good time, and you won't need to pay for a hotel or rent a car. We will pick you up at the airport in Syracuse, drive you where you need to go, and give you a room to stay for free. There are a lot of Revolutionary War and other historic sites nearby, and if you're a baseball fan, the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is just a stone's throw away. The International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, New York, is just a stone's throw away also.

Get your reservations in early, because we cannot comfortably accommodate more than one guest, unless one doesn't mind sleeping on the couch or sharing a bed with someone else.

I've heard about couples like this, does it matter if the visitor is male or female or are the two of you equal opportunity?

Will there be a video camera in use?
