I've been trying to chase down where folks are playing in Pittsburgh. So far, it has been where I am not. (Tried the BWW one week, and Gateway the next. Players were apparently at the opposite, based on scoring...) Last week I was back home in Indiana, and didn't play anywhere.

So, anyone have any idea where folks in Pittsburgh will be tonight?

maybe poman will see this and he can tell you what is going on for sure.

when i was in pittsburgh two years ago. the getaway in-house tournament started the first tuesday in september. so there is a good chance they will be there tonight. from what i recall they do not play the weeks there is no in-house tournament so that could explain why they were not there the week you were there. also there is new management so that can always account for whatever changes there might be. my best guess is they will be at the getaway tonight.

So, I ended up at Getaway, and indeed they did have a tournament starting. All was well until pretty much the entire location tanked on the Final Showdown question. :( Still, it was good to play at a full house, even if they were competing more with each other than the network.

A full house would indeed be refreshing.

Sorry, I didn't see your post until just now.

But, yeah, we play for bar average (primarily on Friday and Saturday) except on Tuesdays, which has always been an in-house cut throat league.

Like many other locations, Tuesdays used to be a lot more popular. At its peak, we had 10+ teams on Tuesday nights. Now we're down to four teams on Tuesdays (and it's usually the same team that wins most of the games).

They'd love to have more in house competition & more teams so feel free to join in anytime.

Unfortunately, I live too far away to drive in on weeknights so I can only play on weekends.
